There are many plots of land in Cyprus that have unfinished houses on them. I'm not sure why. At night they looks quite spooky, such a contrast from the concrete mass of day.

Normally when I do night photography I try to go for things that are more traditional and easily recognizable. On this trip I was so happy to stay in a remote village that I wanted to capture the stillness of it. These shots were taken around Armou, a village high above Paphos between 11pm and 1am. They show the sleepy residences and those still in development. Many plots of land are filled with the bare bones of houses, their foundations and look quite modern and out of place against the lush landscapes.
