I didn’t even get to know you for a full month. I didn’t get to say goodbye. Arley, you inspired hundreds of people in your short time on earth. While you could not actually talk, you gave millions of hamsters a voice. You showed people the dangers of wire wheels, and through that, you still lived. Arley, thank you for blessing my life. Knowing you for these last 22 days has been a blessing. You allowed me hold you while you healed, and pet your sweet, soft fur... I’m so sorry I failed you, too... #arleyham is a sweet Syrian hamster that we adopted on April 6. She had been caught in a wire running wheel three weeks prior. I got to watch her flourish in these 22 days, as she went from a hamster with a third of her fur missing, to a happy, energetic hamster with a beautiful, healthy golden coat. Arley loved broccoli. It was the one great she would rip from in between my fingers. I unfortunately found her in her forever sleep underneath her wheel, which for her was rare. She was doing so good last night, too... I guess she waited until her coat was full to travel the rainbow bridge. Rest easy, Arley. And thank you for blessing my life with your presence... this unfortunately makes the sixth loss in my home in less than two months... I can’t seem to catch a break. 😰 https://www.instagram.com/p/Bw82bjGF6-Q/?igshid=fargid2h13ns
