Eat the rainbow 🌈 #tuesdaytip . . I always ask my kids, “How many colors did you eat today?” Inevitably they usually say, “mostly brown with a side of salt and ketchup. Ketchup is red so that counts right?” Where did I go wrong? 😂 . . When I was growing up there didn’t seem to be a huge push towards kids nutrition. I remember a D.A.R.E. Campaign and McDonald’s Happy Meals being pushed our way but not on health or body wellness. It seems it’s become a huge focus for parents. We’ve now realized if you get them eating healthy younger it will not only benefit overall wellness but help them sustain a healthy diet when they are older. . We have one child who has asked for salads since the day she could eat. Let me tell yo how many salads on on kids menus anywhere 🙄 Then we have another child who wants meat, meat and more meat. The more salty the meat the better. It’s been an interesting journey of trying to make food that appeals to both pallets. . .
