the boy (i forgor name) seemed to be accepting in spite of surgery of the outcome that he wouldn’t have long to live. when he flatly told arietty how would she feel and that she would die it was so grim it caught me off guard ☠️ of course she’d find that incredibly RUDE!!! 🗯️ got weepy eyed in the end when she thanked and held his forefinger to her temple… because he really did save her life even tho his curiosity endangered them all in the first place. i really love the cap-ending sentiment that meeting her gave him the strength to overcome the odds….i believe it. I have to go buy sugarcubes now.
