Would've been happy if Eto stayed as the TG version of Magneto. Me and friends had so many theories for how it was gonna go. 1 guy thought she'd try to make Kaneki into a puppet. I just wanted to see her interact with Touka and Akira, since they're stories are connected (And Eto killed Akira's mom and Touka offed her dad) and I was praying for a rematch with Furuta since shed hardly eaten when she fought him. NAH fuck that, give Kaneki another upgrade, that's what we need. "Not a shounen" SUREEE
There was so much wasted potential when it comes to Eto– everybody (Kaneki too) in fact that I simply don’t know where would I start. Thing I looked forward most to when it comes to Eto is her confrontation with Kaiko more than anyone. Everything that happened to her, her family and reason why she fought as hard as she did, was this man right here. The reason for everything. Yet, Hirako gets honor of offing him.
I mean, I did fully expect some nakama crap to ruin Eto’s moment once more and for someone not-Eto to finish off Kaiko. It’s just laughable that my said worst expectation, did happen. Ultra laughable because at next panel after it Eto gets shown, sleeping /or even being dead and I feel nothing about either of these possibilities now. My only question is: Why was she brought back if this is how it all got resolved? What for?
I truly don’t know what has happened or going on. Was it editor to blame? Did Ishida just lose interest after Arima died? I truly don’t know, I don’t know. In both cases nothing can chill burn second half of :re left. I can give my sympathies to a man and I do understand him in either of these two cases (hopefully he will have better luck with his future work), but disappointment regarding this series will always remain.
