there will be a cycle update posted this evening -- you are more than welcome to continue threads taking place during the current cycle after tonight, but the update should allow for some new material for threads and to push the plot forward and closer to Proxima B~

a new event will be posting on Sunday, 12 November so you should aim to wrap up threads by then so that you’ll be able to jump right into the event

I will be conducting our first activity check tonight as well; messages will be sent out to anyone who hasn’t been active in over seven days, and those players will have 48 hours to resume activity or message the main to discuss activity

for anyone still hoping to apply, there are currently three open characters -- Castellano, Ka'aukai, and Turner. I would love to have them around, and will set our next acceptance date as soon as I receive an application for any of them!

I apologize for my relative absence the past few days -- tumblr has been giving me a bit of trouble with logging in and out of my various rp accounts, this one included. that being said, rather than post an unfollow notice today for the accounts off hiatus who have yet to contact me, I’d like to make a quick post asking those members who are still invested in this group and would like it to continue on to like this post or message me.

activity has been incredibly low since the holidays and has yet to pick up; in fact, there’s been no activity on the dash in the past four days at all. I know people are busy and it’s hard to be active with so many people on hiatus or absent, and I am beginning to think that it would be better for this group to just go on hiatus rather than continue to drag on with nothing happening. I’d be happy to re-open this group at another time, when people have more time to commit to the group, and I’d rather do that than slowly post unfollow notices for everyone as activity dwindles. 

first off, I just want to say how thrilled I am so far -- every thread I’ve read has been absolutely amazing and you are all wonderful and I’m so pleased with how this rp is shaping up so far! now, just a few quick announcements for the upcoming week:

with an exciting app for Turner sitting in my inbox, I’ve set an acceptance date for Wednesday, November 1 at 10pm GMT/5pm EST -- I would love to be able to round out our crew with both a Davies and a Turner in time for our second event, so if you’re still interested in joining, be sure to take a look at either of them! 

the vote for the first event will be taking place the day after tomorrow on October 30, so start thinking about how your character wants to vote! more details will be posted on the 30th, but keep it on your radar so you don’t miss your chance to vote! if you won’t be able to send in a message on that day, let me know beforehand so you can get your vote in early--

OPENING DATE AND ACCEPTANCE DATE SET:

the second round of acceptances will take place on Monday, October 23rd; the submit box will close at 10pm GMT/5pm EST

argonauts will officially open for roleplaying the following day, Tuesday the 24th at 10pm GMT/5pm EST

in between now and then I’ll be posting some character- and connection-building prompts to help facilitate plotting between those already accepted, so keep an eye out for those to go up along with character follow links tomorrow afternoon!

it’s been nice to see the dash already picking up again now that the holidays are over and to see a little more activity after what I know has been a very busy time for everyone! 

of course, now that the holidays are over, I’m hoping that everyone who isn’t still on hiatus will be able to jump back in and we’ll be able to get the plot really rolling again in the next week or two -- to that end, I just wanted to let you all know that I’ll be doing an activity check on Friday and that I would really love for there to be nobody on it. 

if we’ve got nearly everyone pretty active again by the end of the week, I’ll start working towards the next cycle update and more updates for the WARNING event so we can keep on trucking towards Proxima B and some alien contact!

Daylight Savings has happened here in the UK but not yet in the States, which I just realized this afternoon, hence the slight change -- but everything should be back on schedule next week!
