Characters: Octavia and Ezekiel

Setting: A Vennadore AU where everything is modern and drugs like weed exists (so very much like our own world).

Sinking into the couch with her arms loosely wrapped around her middle, Octavia stares at the wall before her without blinking or moving. Not even a thought was crossing her mind as she relaxed in the plush cushions. Before her was the ashtray where the butt of the blunt rested with just a thin tendril of smoke curling in the air before it disappeared overhead.

Snapping her back to reality – literally – was her best friend, Ezekiel. “Yo? Are you high?” He asked, trying to give her a stern look. “I thought we were going to share that later? And you just smoked it all in one go! Man, I really should’ve locked my green away.”

“Huh…?” Octavia stared at Ez, blinking slowly before a smile crept along her face. “Sorry, my dude. First come, first serve,” she waved her hand. “Besides, we still have more to share. I just… needed to get out of my head for a while. Too many thoughts.. I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have, but I really hope that you understand.”

“I understand.. But I’m still pissed with you for swiping some of my green. But like you said, we got more. I’ll go get the pipe ready for another round. Keep those thoughts at bay.”
