❛ She wouldn’t be alive if it weren’t for me. ❜
Tsukuyomi’s blank stare instantly hardened into a piercing glare, and even though it remained out of sight with his back turned against the Greek god, the dark energy he emitted was palpable. Though that wouldn’t unsettle the other a single bit, he knew. That man was one of chaos, of discord, and if anything, this kind of reaction from Tsukuyomi would stir him on considerably.
He almost felt he could see then, the arrogance that radiated in the air, the smug victory that the other god surely held proudly. He wouldn’t involve himself in such situations usually, and he was about to walk away as if he had heard nothing. Only he opened his mouth to speak, and little did he know that this was the beginning of a long, long battle.
“Thank you for saving her life,” he spoke through gritted teeth, fists resisting the urge to clench tightly until his nails cut through his mortal skin. “I’ll be sure to repay your good deeds.” With that, he stepped off and away from Ares, his eyes closed but wide open with only one face he saw, one that he still held closest to his heart.
Amaterasu.
