was rrequested to draw crackpot again, took it as an opportunity to draw player/crackpot instead

oh yeah, something i forgot to mention about the player is they hit a point where they treat everything like its their house

so it means they will get up from the cot and just select their origin and leave. they take advantage of the fact 2bdamned expects them to be "fresh" or "unknowing" and just take whatever they want from the room. if met with resistance they just shove him away and go

they'll go in the annex building, push bossman to the side, tell him to clean up and refuse to engage violently with him, power on the building and get going immediately.

some loops they'll keep it discrete and try their best to behave in an unsuspecting manner ( not to give cues to doc that they know a lot more ) and other loops they make it obvious and leverage it against doc

given you mention seeing my older arena mode art, i'll assume you're briefed a little on the details i have for the player already but i'll run through a short of it.

the arena player, known outside of the event as john doe / john t. doe / jaunting doe. they no longer know how many loops they've gone through, with each having been a blur, confusing the way they're supposed to behave between origins ( a disquieted speaking like a magiturge, a tinkerer training like a massive )

for how i write mine, they hit a certain point where their mental state is more and more unstable, having more and more nonsensical and unreasonable responses to certain things and behaving particularly more hostile to individuals like 2bdamned, the maker and the gambler ( treated more like a punching bag as they dont see the gambler as a person, more like a sock puppet )

i think of their mental state deteriorating to the point they are no longer following the purpose they were brought into nevada for and seeking out their own personal goals within the timeloop, acting violently when necessary or when THEY feel its necessary.

due to how much they have been through the ringer, the points allocated to their stats per imprint and previous knowledge allow them to perform well straight off the infernal cot which has led to them attacking 2bdamned immediately sometimes. in their own way, they're trying to figure out how far they can push information out, what's the real limit to their world, and if it is at all possible to get out.

( for reference, the way that i see 2b's appearance in arena mode, he is no different than bossman, dave, skinner, etc. meaning the one we see is also starting from that moment and has no knowledge after that and is essentially experiencing this for the first time. its something i feel a need to clarify. the player attacks him knowing he doesnt exactly expect them to leap out of the cot when they are just pulled from the nowhere and hurt him )

due to the supposedly grander, more elusive nature of the maker, it's difficult for them to really wring information out of them so unfortunately 2bdamned is at the brunt of their anger of their situation. they've spoken to 2b fresh off the cot before, telling him that they've killed him before, so many times

being in this for so long gives them a sort of carelessness sometimes because for the moment, they KNOW its all going to start all over again when they complete their mission and have to do it again.

their ability to have meaningful relationships that feel genuine is near completely shot, they have given up on the idea of having one in this pocket of reality they've been nailed to but hold out hope that if one day they could escape it that they'll have a taste of something NORMAL. something NEW.

they dream of a day where they can walk into the annex building, and see bossman staring at them bewildered... as if he hadn't seen the player in Forever.

they don't wish the worst on the people they came to care about, but in their mind, one day in the world that kept going on without them will be redefined and in the end those people will be gone. if it's all going to shit anyway, i want to experience what it's really like to Exist. if you wanted this operation to work flawlessly, maybe you should have ripped someone from the nowhere who doesn't care about anyone else and only cares for the mission.

they know that 2bdamned's intent is to prevent nevada from falling, but they cannot help but be angry and find an outlet for the anger of their situation so they may become a detriment to the cause in the end

it's selfish of me. maybe i'm not thinking straight, but if it were up to me, i would let it screech to a halt.
