Days 4-6: Deinosuchus, Herrarasaurus, and Lewisuchus. I'm actually happy with how all 3 came out. I might do this for weekends because my schedule gets all screwed up then lol
Day 3: Tupandactylus navigans
I'm tired rn so I probably won't provide a lot of info about them but I fucking love pterosaurs man they're like living kites but like they had their own mating rituals and hunting strategies and idk man they're awesome I fucking love them
Here's a male with 2 females
I really really need to practice my paleoart so I'm gonna try Archovember. (List of day prompts by @saritawolff is under the cut!) Day 1 is your choice, so I chose the leggiest of boys, Terrestrisuchus gracilis! Ignore the goofy eye, its been a while since I tried traditional art and I got too excited to erase the sketch lines and smudged it ;-;
T. gracilis lived during the Upper Triassic period, and contrary to its rather dinosaur-like appearance, it is actually one of the earliest known crocodylomorphs! Some estimates have it at about 1 meter (3 ft) long. It had long, thin legs and a thin frame. Its head was long and slender- perfect for catching tasty bugs! There seems to still be discourse over if it was a quadruped, a biped, or a mix of both (think like hadrosaurs!).
Whelp weāve got about a week and a half til November (aaaaaah), so I guess Iāll post this yearās Archovember list now!
Itās a bit dinosaur-heavy this time, but there are a lot of species Iād really like to try my hand at! Also, we have two leptoceratopsians and two Araripesuchus species. I thought it would be interesting to compare and contrast these species within the same month, so I hope it doesnāt get /too/ repetitive!
For new folks: this is my āDraw Dinovemberā list that I expanded out to include other archosauriforms. I started doing this a few years ago to challenge myself to draw species Iāve never drawn before and/or ones that donāt get a lot of attention. Feel free to join in! You can do the whole list, just the dinosaurs, just the pterosaurs, just the pseudosuchians, just your favorites, just ones youāve never drawn before, roll a D20 and a D10 and draw the sum of whichever numbers you get, etc. Just make sure theyāre posted on or after their specific day so I remember to share them on my blog! You can use #Archovember or #Archovember2023, as those are the tags I follow. (Note that I and the whole Archovember event are usually a lot more active on Instagram so if you have an IG I encourage you to join in there!)
Anyway, here is the list in case the graphic is hard to read:
