I love how the magnus archives starts out giving the impression that the meta narrative is just a loose collection point for horror stories. That jonathan sims is just the new guy skeptic who isn’t going to do much but be snarky.
I love his critique of Gertrude’s lack of a filing system. I also have a lot of feelings about unprocessed archival collections and how this really isn’t that wild or a stretch of a situation for archives. Especially niche and underfunded ones.
I love the creeping dread of discovering the angler fish. I love knowing that the damn thing will be back in future episodes. I love the incidental background music.
