These are probably some of my favourite images of giant squid taken. I'm surprised I didn't know about them earlier even though they are from 2012
Got excited to watch a nat geo wild video on youtube about the 'hunt for the giant squid' and not only got interrupted multiple times by people calling me but also got mad at it because there were no *actual* giant squids shown or even mentioned! They talked about the colossal squid (which btw is different than a giant squid) and showed a little footage but nothing of either the giant or colossal squid in their natural habitat like i was hoping :/
Did see some giant warty squid (yes its called that 😅) though so thats kinda cool.
But not as cool as my boy architeuthis
