CHALET MODEL, SWISS WORK OF THE 19TH CENTURY, DATED 1858

In fir, linden, maple and walnut, representing a chalet flanked by a farmhouse with all-sided decoration, the animated facade of a balcony and numerous staircases, all surrounded by an openwork grid, the facade of the cottage and the farmhouse inscribed: "We(nn) nu(n) einer will Bau- / en an die Strasse so / muss er die Seüle Tau- / fen Lassen; Dieses Hauss ist Erbaut / im freuen Schweizer- / land, ist be wohlkant. / im März 1858; Ich aber Baue auf / meine art ein / Anderer kan Bauen / auf seine Art; Mein Vergnügen ist / das Bauen hir kan / Man min Bauart / Schauen.". ("If someone wants to build on the side of the road he must have the column baptized; This House is built / in the free country of the Swiss / it is well known / in March 1858; But I build in my own way, another can build in his own way; My pleasure is / the Construction here we can (look) / my Way of building / look), resting on a base covered with green velvet and a blackened wooden base, equipped with a removable glass bell (not illustrated), signed "ULRICH ABEGGLEN / PERRIN" on the windows of the Top of the main building and dated "1858"
