Especially in book 1, Sophie’s frequently described as pulling on her eyelashes. As someone with trichotillomania, I have large amounts of missing eyelashes and would like to call upon the artists to finally draw Sophie with eyelash gaps. But not her looking upset bc she has missing eyelashes- her still looking confident, flaws and all.
a bit on how much Sophie being like me has affected me- since I read kotlc for the first time when I was ten, it’s always been a huge deal for me to see representation of something I’ve never seen someone else struggle with. And isn’t that what media is for- especially kids media, to make people feel seen and represented? So that’s why this art from whoever makes this will go up on my wall. No matter what. And I will forever be grateful to Shanon messenger.
