Lloyd had almost lost his entire, well stacked plate of food when he was bumped into someone from behind-- but it seemed that today was his lucky day! Just as it slipped from his fingers, a stranger leapt forth and grabbed it before it hit the ground, causing Lloyd to beam with gratefulness.

“Oh man, thanks for that..! I think I would’ve cried if I lost all this,” taking it back, he smiled at the other man. “Hey, do you have a pass? Let me get you some food as thanks!”

quite often, actually. often martel would try and pass as human or elf in places where it was particularly risky or dangerous to be a half-elf. sometimes that would lead to altercations if she was careless or someone caught onto her. i think being in the wrong place at the wrong time has been a consistent theme in martel’s life over all. from small altercations, to large scale. it sometimes would feel like a “right” time just never existed... so she had to convince herself that its a matter of perspective. she could allow the coincidence to consume her, or she could accept things as they came and move on. as a result, she isn’t one to dwell on things such as this. regrets of this nature aren’t really on her mind. 

💔: Have they ever had their heart broken? If so, why or how did it happen?

romantically, its complicated. i’m going to say not exactly, on that one. not in the sense this sort of phrase is normally taken.

but i’m going to take this on a wider scale and say that martel has had her heart broken consistently by the world. her heart broke when her parents died. her heart broke when her village banished her and her little brother. her heart broke every day of trying to keep him alive. her heart broke every day she had to confront the human cities she entered. her heart broke with war. her heart broke with watching her people enslaved, and abused, and forced to fight for wars as weapons. martel’s heart has ached for as long as it has beat.

and since her passing, it continues to break knowing the people she trusted the most in life twist everything further and perpetuate a system of genocide under her own name and refuse to let her go-- because she was not worth the countless lives spent for an opportunity to meet her again. her heart broke to watch her brother lose himself, her heart broke to watch her friends change in ways she’d never would have wished on them. and in the end, there is little to no comfort for how deep this hurt, this pain she carries.

         He   stares   back,   a scowl and a quick shake of his head. Why was he hired to be on this team in the first place? He’s somehow not feeding mid lane, while the bot lane is 4 deaths in with 1 kill, and top lane didn’t exist on either side. The jungler had been invaded 11 times now and rage quit, and now his ADC smirks at him in a gesture that can only be taken as him wanting to do something reckless.
