I've been seeing multiple people post about the idea of a open world TDC game and while I looooove the idea I wanna say something. Playable Skeksis or bust. Actually, add playable urRus, podlings, arathim, urSkeks, and gruenaks. All with a different campaign depending on which species you pick.
I'm sick of games only focusing on humanoid species, I play WoW and they're all about humans and elves while having a huge range of fantasy species. Same goes for TDC, they have so many species which all deserve to be experienced first hand!
Not that it'd ever happen, but can you imagine how amazing that'd be?
Dark Crystal Interest Check Poll Below
So, I've been vibing on Dark crystal for a while, and I've been putting some work in on Echos of Rebellion, fic coming soon. But, my friend introduced me to the concept of ArtRPGs, and I'm a little intrigued by the process on making one. So, since I've got a lot of work done for the TTRPG I haven't gotten to run for dark crystal, I'm putting some feelers out on possibly doing an Arpg for Dark crystal.
And yes I know how things end, I have a work around for that. So the game would be fine.
This would likely be hosted through toyhouse on a private discord and such, I'm still working that out. I may also make a community for it here, nothing is decided yet.
But this is a general interest check, some things I know will be happening-
Races that can for sure be playable:
-Gelflings
-Firelings
-Podlings
-Constructs
-certain kinds of Arathim (per the rpg book)
-Makrak
-Gruenak (possibly, under review)
All the clans will be playable, as well as a few additional things that will be discussed later.
Skeksis, Mystics, and Urskeks are locked to npcs, for story purposes.
There will be pets.
Please pop the poll if this is something that may interest you at all, I'll post more as I put info together.

skekTek the Scientist - Chamber of Life Probe and Pump with Puppeteering Apparatus - Jim Henson Company 70th Anniversary Auction on Julien's Auctions, sold for $2,560 - Lot 104
"An original Life Probe and Pump prop from the prequel series The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance (Netflix, 2019).
The prop features twin air pumps on a single three-legged stand. The stand, primarily comprised of fiberglass with metal platforms and internal armatures, features two cranks - one wheel and one lever (damage present to the lever) - at its center. Multiple extended pieces of translucent tubing are connected to the pumps. The exterior of the tubing contains production-distressing comprised of latex to give it both an organic and sinister appearance. At the end of one of the tubes is a pointed Spitter Zap Probe prop comprised of resin.
Accompanying this prop is a metal puppeteering apparatus that consists of a metal hand with two levers. Two small hydraulic wires that extend from the lower center of the prop's stand connect to the base of the apparatus. Once connected, the levers each control one of the air pumps, allowing them to expand and contract.Â
This prop is seen in the final episode of the series, "A Single Piece Was Lost," used in the Chamber of Life by skekTek the Scientist (performed by Olly Taylor and voiced by Mark Hamill) as he tries to bring a dead Arathim back to life.
Dimensions:Â 60 x 30 x 19 inches"
