Here are the title drops of the three threats from their respective arcs in AQW. Because a good title drop brings me a ridiculous amount of joy.
(Neso is personally responsible for why I never remember if it's "Voice IN the Sea" or "Voice OF the Sea.")
I'm getting the feeling that if there was an AQW Amaris, Celeritas did not like her.
The way she treated her champions for even considering making peace with the Dark, a romance between one of her elementals and a vampire would not have gone done well.
some older aqw stuff
I like that each Three Threats and now the Big Bad in Age of Ruin had a reason for not being around/doing major things prior to their featured arc, and Astero was actively involved in multiple unsuccessful plans while still failing forward. Meanwhile Drakath, the Queen of Monsters, and early Malgor just sitting around like, "Ehehe, this throne is so comfy! I'll just stay here 5 more minutes while my minions do things." Well, except Drakath, who just had to stand around. No throne for him, as it should be.

It was so cool to see so many past Champions of Light in /CarsossaCourt, and just imagining the Plane of Light's increasing frustration over it's Avatar.
Plane of Light: Darkness isn't so bad. Here's a Drow as Champion to prove it.
PoL: And you killed them... Maybe I was too subtle. Here's a nice person who seeks peace between Light and Dark!
PoL: Killed too? How rude! You're the Light, you should be nicer. But fine, I can compromise. How about an actual warrior for your silly conflict?
PoL: What do you mean this one didn't "look the part?" Whatever, okay, someone more "Knightly."
PoL: What was wrong with that one?! Really pushing it here, Celeritas. Fine. Here's my final offer. Decent person. Warrior. Looks the part. A rebel who could be a queen. Loves her family (which could also be a bridge with the Dark).
PoL: Not good enough either?! Because she loves her family?! That's it! You know what! You're getting an empress of evil who can actually stand up to you and be free of your influence.
Celeritas having her own Divine Eye eaten by Astero was so deserved after all the Champions and Titans she just did away with for whatever reason.
Maybe it's just having been burned by the "end" of the Queen of Monsters era (and the last couple eras of Doctor Who) but I'm so glad nearly everything in Shadows of War got tied up by the end before moving on to Age of Ruin. Malgor's origin and whole deal? The Queen's death? The Queen's Heart? Swordhaven's power struggle? All resolved. All except for Varga's whole deal, which is finally being touched on in a way that explains the wait while having the Hero not be friendly with her after SoW II. It was the smoothest transition AQW has ever had between major sagas. (I still think /Summon was a really cool start to QoM before it got ignored for whatever reason.)
All-Around Lore: House Reignolds
“Skill can make a dead tree sprout, and force a flower to bloom for years.
But no one can return to a Spring that has already passed. Even if you went back in time, you won’t feel the same way you did when you were living in the moment.
Such is the motto of House Reignolds... though the common folk believe it's a cover for an axiom with far more threatening implications."
