The type of things I love etymology for: seeing Persian, Arabic and Turkish get freaky like that:
"Pharmacy" in Turkish is eczane /e(dอกส).zษหหne/. Literally, the word means "drug house" but neither components are originally from Turkish:
=> ecza comes from Arabic ุฃุฌุฒุงุก /สadอกส.zaหส/ (plural of ุฌุฒุก /dอกสuzส/). It means "drugs, chemicals".
=> hane comes from Classical Persian ุฎูุงููู /xaห.หna/. It means "house".
