Bhutan 🇧🇹
14–16 April 2016
14th April: arrival + in Thimphu Dzong, they were greeted by a traditional welcome procession before meeting with the King and Queen of Bhutan.
The Duke and Duchess then went to Thimphu's open-air archery venue where they met with locals and played some games. Later there was a private dinner with King Jigme and Queen Jetsun Pema at Lingkana Palace.
15th April: they hiked to the Tiger's Nest monastery and later attended a party with British nationals + departure for Agra, India
Fashion summary...
Special mention to diplomatic dressing as she wore a poppy gown. The blue poppy is the national flower of Bhutan.
She was also gifted a necklace by the Queen that she wore for the official farewell.

10–13 + 16 April 2016
10th April: Mumbai - at the Taj Palace Hotel they laid a wreath at a memorial inside the hotel following the 2008 terror attack + played a cricket match and with children from surrounding areas. They then moved on to the ancient Banganga Water Tank in the Malabar Hill, where they met more locals. In the evening they attended a dinner and reception alongside famous Bollywood stars and business leaders.
11th April: Mumbai - Young Entrepreneurs Event + New Dehli - they visited Gandhi Smriti museum + the couple laid a wreath at India Gate, the country's main war memorial + the Duke and Duchess attended a birthday party in honour of the Queen at the residence of the British High Comissioner.
12th April: New Dehli - visit to the contact centre run by the charity Salaam Baalak, which provides emergency help and long term support to homeless children at New Delhi railway station and later they met and had lunch with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi + flight to Kaziranga National Park in Assam + in the evening they celebrated the Assamese New Year by campfire with music and dance performances.
13th April: safari at Kaziranga National Park in Guwahati. In the afternoon the couple visited the Centre for Wildlife Rehabilitation and Conservation (CRWC), which is temporary home to injured, displaced and orphaned animal and Pan Bari Village.
16 April: Agra - Taj Mahal Visit
Reminiscent of his grandparents' visit in 1961 and his mother's visit in 1992.
