Griffon Breed: The Aoxm Grand
The largest breed of griffon in the world, The Aoxm Grand is traditionally used as a war mount by giants on their far north island home of Aoxm Waur. Completely flightless, they are widely used as draft animals by other cultures.
In the wild they fill the same niche as polar bears, and the average adult will consume nearly 30 tons worth of meat annually. Meaning that only the most well-off of owners can keep up with their dietary needs, especially south of the frost line.
In the central capital city of Breen, where griffons hold cultural significance, the King keeps a group of 30 fully grown Aoxm Grands, which are widely regarded as being the highest quality bloodline outside of Aoxm Waur.
