Does he ever rummage through his old belongings; a busted console, knocked over mini-figurines, dusty and moth-eaten clothes he couldn’t fit into anymore? Maybe he tries to, but could only ever get a hoodie to fit over his protoframe torso. Maybe he mourns a pair of favored converse he can no longer wear with his Volt-shaped feet.

Will he suddenly feel homesick, reach over to the landline phone and dial a number purely off muscle-memory…but the line is dead, the phone tone ringing in his head. Did his dad ever see the state of Höllvania on the news? Did his dad ever think “My son is in there, is he ok?” Did his dad think his son, his only child, was dead, and Amir had no way to say “Hey Dad, I’m alive, I’m just a mutant freak!”

Would his dad even recognize him? Fear him, turn away from him? Tell his mom “You were right about him all along, dear. Our son is nothing more than a failure,”

Ancient Hebrew origin. Means stuff like “to hear”, “one who listens”, and “god has heard”, which really plays into the sensory deprivation of Iron Lung in that the only unhindered sense you have is hearing.

There’s also 9 dudes named Simon in the bible, the most notable in this context being Simon from Cyrene. In Mark (lmao) 15:21 “A certain man from Cyrene, Simon, […] was passing by on his way in from the country, and they forced him to carry the cross”. I have so thoughts. Tfym he’s randomly forced to undergo a bloody burden. Raah

And Simon the Sorcerer/Magician. Nothing to say about him, I just like the title.

Variant of Eve, the first woman in the bible, and means “to breathe” or “to live”.

In its Persian roots, it means “voice” or “sound” which is making me feral because most of the time that’s all you know of her.

A guy named David in the bible gained fame by killing Goliath. Lol
