And before you say its historically innacurate, its not a documentary but a work of fiction so anything is possible (even fucking time travel smh watch queen inhyuns man tho!!)

But i was just thinking of where to place actors like anupam tripathi from squid games in k-acting without stereotypical, degrading or overly comical roles. A period drama that reads as a fairytale between different kingdoms but crossing borders too 😍 and leaving racism at the door because we got enough of that irl.

Its not hard to imagine people travelling for trade and diplomatic relations in the past, so why not build a robust kdrama around it and give these people serious roles? I think it would be a hit if done right because period dramas are cool.

It doesnt even have to center around royalty!! but it can be noblemen, soldiers, workers farmers and commoners who come into contact with foreign merchants and learn from eachother and fall in love. And let there be some kind of folk magic from their respective culture based on a true story that makes it a fairytale i mean come on its not difficult 🙈🙈

Anupam the merchant and his younger siblings trade in incense or sth and the daughter of a fisherman is interested in their merchandise so she robs them and then the youngest falls in love with her criminal butt but her parents have already promised her to this japanese boy of well standing.

Meanwhile that boy has his own lover whom happens to be *gasp* another man !!!
