I just got an ant colony of the genus Formica subsericia from Tar Heel Ants. There are about 5 workers. Pictured here is the queen and 3 workers in a Mini Hearth XL, also from Tar Heel Ants.

Feeding a wild colony of Black Tyrant Ants - Iridomyrmex anceps. These girls are always on speed. I tried and i tried to get photos without using honey but it was impossible 😑 always darting around. These photos were taken at 2x and 3x respectively.
