A while ago I had the urge to start baking brownies.
Then I looked up what minerals are in cacao and it's very rich in magnesium, which the body uses to strengthen the nerve system, also tryptophan which is transformed into serotonin.
250 grams of butter (or a varying ratio mix with coconut oil, can also use only coconut oil).
250 grams of dark chocolate.
130 grams of self raising flour.
0 to 222 grams of unrefined sugar (0 grams tastes like solid chocolate milk, 111 grams is my favourite, try all three if you like).
50 grams of coconut meal (gives it an interesting texture), or buckwheat meal, or some other meal from seeds rich in minerals.
222 grams of cashew nuts (rich in calcium and other minerals, has a mild neutral flavor so the chocolate flavour remains dominant).
If you have access to pure 100% cacao powder then you can add a couple of tablespoons with the flour.
Melt the butter in a pot on low heat, add the chocolate.
Meanwhile take a big bowl and mix the eggs with the sugar, then add the melted butter and chocolate while stirring.
Add the cashew nuts, then the self raising flour and any other flour of your choice.
Pour the batter into a silicon donut shaped form.
Bake at 180 degr. Celsius for 33 minutes.
Once cooled off put in fridge, then remove the silicon form and cut off thin slices, enjoy!
If you're sad, bake brownies and life will make sense again.
