My other hot take of the day is that if Amaya wasn't black then steelh*cker wouldn't be the slightly more popular ship between the two
But if it's one thing arrowverse fandoms can agree on, it's being anti black in some capacity

With how the Arrowverse prioritized Sara and sidelined Laurel you would think Sara was the Dinah Laurel Lance Black Canary adaptation
DCAU Ollie Queen > Arrowverse Ollie Queen
Not the cw taking a monoracial dark skinned black girl and making her mixed.
I’m not even kidding in Superman and Lois they made Lois Lane, Nat’s mom
If not for the arrowverse, merlyn would be a forgotten supervillian of no renown. The guy only showed up three or four times prior to the Crisis on Infinite Earths. And he still only made something like ten or fifteen apperances after that. He was a boring character. And he was also a rip-off of The Swordsman over at Marvel. The Swordsman was Hawkeye's evil mentor. Merlyn was Green Arrow's evil mentor or whatever, created almost a decade after The Swordsman. He's a bad rip-off, and he isn't even as interesting as Marvel's character. The Swordsman at Marvel at least had a redemption arc, then died and came back after merging with a plant alien. It was all really weird, but it was cool.
What has Malcolm Merlyn got that's cool? Well, if you don't watch the arrow show and end up ignorant of it...he offers nothing. He's just a man in camo gear with arrows. He's not clever or unique. He's probably the weirdest main character in Lego DC Supervillains, because he has no real reason to be there. I mean...Heatwave and Captain Cold aren't really modelled after their Flash tv show counterparts. Merlyn was unnecessary. If they needed an archer character for the supervillians, surely they could have found someone else. Because he is just dull.
PS: I checked. DC actually has next to no other arrow based villains. So merlyn got in this game by default, probably. Still, I don't like him. When I finally replay Lego DC Supervillains later, i'll try make my character an archer. Why? Because my old custom character design works well with archery themes, and also because I hate merlyn. Captain Cold is the only villain from those CW shows I like, and I like him mostly because his actor might be autistic.

As an Oliver Queen, Dinah Lance, and Linda Park fan can I just say I get annoyed when I encounter arrowverse fans
I will admit… I originally didn’t hate arrow. I like superhero’s in general so their the characters could be kinda stocky and stale at times there were decent bits…
I then began reading green arrow comics and there are not words to describe the fucking tragedy they did to that man.
Going from arrow Oliver to Conics Oliver is like going from stale whole wheat to warm bred baked by your nonna.
I just had to literally read the Year One Green Arrow comics and you will see them do more with that One comic then Arrow everything Arrow attempted to do with Lian Yu
A TV show that I hate:
The entire Arrowverse.
Just garbage.
Also, fuck Olicity and its fans.
