NEW OC BUT I NEED A NAME FOR HIM
The most startling moment upon seeing my image taken and reproduced back at me at the Whitney was comparing the planes scale to my own body. The child sized sneakers mirroring my own shoes (also bought in the children's section) was very surreal. I would have loved to reach out my hands to touch hers and hold her fingers in mine, I bet our palms would have matched. As I've been saying, I don't hate the little plane, I don't think that's fair. I hate how fan art and specifically Anthro planes with whom I identify with personally, are collected and exhibited as if they are in a "cabinet of curiosities" by male identifying artists who do not even subscribe or identify with the furry or Anthro community. I am the most angry that this Mary Jane Anthro Plane is so clearly a rip off of my original character creation (see my video "MBD: Origin Story" on my Vimeo) Anthro planes are becoming over saturated without the original creators being given due credit. Besides @ajaygkurian artist @jonrafman has also used imagery of Anthro planes without giving credit or paying tribute to the original creators. .
