Are Humans Self-Aware?
Ants have often tested humans for self awareness. They placed objects in our homes and were shocked we didn't cover them in sand.
"Although humans build interesting nests & show signs of cooperation, can they really have rich inner lives like ants? Unlikely."
They laid pheromone trails & we ignored them.
"Even a newly eclosed callow or a termite could have followed these trails! Human intelligence is perhaps similar to that of a lichen... or perhaps an aphid at best."

Language Processing is an influential introject (int) supercolony located on the growth hemisphere near the equator. They are five departments of int families organized in the form of a university that that each specialize in researching and practicing different languages. Each language family is organized into more specialized departments, often with different languages mixed together to collaborate on topics such as meme categorization, slang words, polite conversation, etymology, curse words, and more.
Ints are primarily subconscious beings working in subconscious levels. As a species they naturally do not speak with their mouths or hands, instead communicating with scents mostly among themselves. But Language Processors are some of the few groups of ints that invest heavily into communicating with the conscious, and use a special bow tie or gloves permanently attacked to their bodies to talk or sign with the conscious. This tech makes these ints valuable diplomats across the mind.
