tbh i chalked dean's stupidity in the last couple eps cuz he just lost his mom and best friend AGAIN so i think hes not in the best place rn mentally
i agree with you, but sam lost them too (even tho he wasn’t as close to them as dean) and he is thinking more rationally. but this is typical winchesters’ behavior after all, and i’m pretty sure dean will get attached to jack at some point :)
