Someone already said this, but Demetri and Milton have very similar vibes??

(I also think the Kickin’ It episode Sub Sinker kind of reminds me of Demetri’s disapproval of early Hawk, if we want to go into binary boyfriends and Milton/Jerry parallels.)

These teenagers?? Being put through a lot?? Like, in Cobra Kai, these poor kids are getting trauma for days and in Kickin’ It, they’re also being pitted against their rivals, but there’s also the Spyfall and crime fighting stuff??

Fighting as a unit?? Iconic. Yes, I’m spefically thinking about 3.10 Demetri and Eli, and I believe Kim and Jack also did it a few times.

Travelling to Japan/China and reuniting with an old rival.

Their sensei’s trauma is gradually revealed

One of the only female/POC character(s) being MIA for a season *cough* Eddie, Kim, Aisha *cough*

Eli and Jerry parallels are very scarce, but they both definitely act tough/cool despite being sensitive. Jerry also fluently speaks Spanish and Eli always calls Miguel “El Serpiente.”

Also, their sensei and his friends reliving more liberating days by going out on motorcycles and ending up in a bar fight?? AND a bit of a difficult pawn shop owner?

Two main characters attack mechanics in their place of work.

- Daniel and Johnny teaming up to find Robby was so pure even though it didn’t last long.

- I liked that we got to see Eli bleed through the Hawk persona whenever he has a bad reminder of his past and whenever he feels sympathy.

- I liked that they explored trauma after deadly or graphic fights in Sam since most shows wouldn’t do that.

- Johnny helping Miguel with his weird yet amusing tactics.

- Amanda slapping Kreese.

- Robby beating the shit out of those dudes in the detention center cuz they totally had it coming. 

- Moon is so pure I love her even though her attempt at peace will probably never happen in the near future. 

- Hawk pulling a “fight club” on Brucks. I hated Brucks and I loved that he got his revenge, but Hawk needs to calm down.

- Daniel’s trip to Japan was great due to the flashbacks and appearances of the karate kid part 2 cast

- We got to know more about Tory’s home life

- As always, the fight scenes are amazingly choreographed. 

- The parallels of all three dojos mottos in the beginning of episode 8.

- Johnny calling out the Cobra Kai kids

- Yazmine boosting Demetri’s confidence after Kyler drew a dick. 

- The name Eagle Fang Karate

- Seeing a little of Kreese’s past even though it isn’t a good enough excuse to be such a dick to kids but at least it’s an explanation.

- The Larusso house fight

- Ali’s return!

- Eli finally seeing the error of his ways and returning to his roots. I missed the original trio

- Miguel and Sam
