She’s super understanding and caring (even with her mother who doesn’t deserve it). She doesn’t care how she’s treated as long as the people she cares about are treated right. Which is why she’s not the biggest fan of the queen due to how she treats Florian sometimes.

Cora was born in the Fall, and prefers to study magic over swords. And the magic she’s best at, to Florian’s dismay, is elemental magic 😌
For style , she doesn’t really have a set one in my mind, she likes wearing anything that makes movement easy. When she doesn’t have training she does like to wear dresses tho. And I imagine her main colors to wear would be blues, greens, and browns ~ and she likes to keep her hair long and half up half down, or in a low ponytail when needed.
Romance ~~~ she’s had feelings for Florian since they were kids ~💞 every time she saw him sad she always felt the need to comfort him, and she still feels that way to this day. She didn’t fall in love with him, she walked into it easily 🥰

pandora: certain tv show intros, throwback songs to when she was in middle & high school. she doesn’t mind the feeling but isn’t living in the past
peach: the smell of perfumes and colognes that friends and family used to wear, particular sunsets during the summer. enjoys the feeling but also more of a present-focused person
taran: specific brands of gum (ahem), going to certain places where he has memories. nostalgia eats him alive and he tries to go back to the past all the time
nayeli: the smell of particular dishes, specific salsa & bomba songs. it makes her yearn
13. what color do they think they look best in? do they actually look best in that color?
pandora: thinks she looks best in black; actually does
peach: thinks she looks best in pinks and oranges; actually does
taran: has literally never thought about this but all of his wardrobe is dark colours (save for like basic white tees); would look good in medium greys
nayeli: thinks she looks best in teal; actually does, but would also look good in warm colours and white
15. how do they speak? is what they say usually thought of on the spot, or do they rehearse it in their mind first?
pandora: animated voice. very witty and she’s quick to respond at all times. very much an on-her-feet speaker unless a situation calls for some kind of scheming/machinations, in which case she’ll think things through before speaking. laughs at her own jokes. swears moderately, rarely uses speech fillers
peach: laconic voice. thinks about what she says before saying it. easy to have a conversation with because she is a good listener who asks questions that interest whoever she’s speaking with. tendency to use “bro” and “dude” for friends regardless of gender. doesn’t rehearse what she says. swears moderately, uses speech fillers regularly
taran: baby smoker’s voice (kind of croaky, his voice still sometimes breaks). gets very passionate about things which is reflected in tone and volume. will occasionally rehearse things in his mirror but he would never admit it (he’s too “real” for that, nobody can know). horrible tendency to ramble when emotional, which usually makes things worse. swears frequently, uses speech fillers occasionally
nayeli: very smooth speaking voice, often low in volume (partially out of shyness, partially so people have to pay attention to hear her). absolutely rehearses what she’s going to say in advance; has answered fake interview questions about the band/her music in the shower for the past ~3 years lmao but Does generally think before speaking. on the quieter side in terms of how much she’ll contribute to conversations. swears moderately, has tried to train herself out of using speech fillers

Band name: How did they and the others come up with the band name? Has the name changed since it was founded?
seven and lane and jazzy came up with the name half hog because committing to something fully (whole hog) is very scary and vulnerable and it was an underlying truth to want to go half hog on starting the band but they talked about it as if it was a bit. they all really wanted it to work but lane at least felt very silly about wanting something that badly. the theme stuck!
Songwriting: What’s their process? Is it different than it was when they used to write songs with Seven?
lane’s process is to fold themselves into a pretzel, write the most vulnerable weird sentences and rearrange them into rhyme schemes and motifs. when lane and seven would write together, lane would very animatedly and enthusiastically work around the structures that seven would build. they’d add metaphors and write a bridge but the work would be largely seven’s, save a few songs. not as animated anymore.
Beginnings: When and how did they know they wanted to be a professional musician? Was there a deciding factor?
lane still doesn’t know that they want to be a professional musician! this is what they’re doing now and what they’ve always done. they were raised in the local music scene and it’s what they know and love so being part of it in any way just makes sense. they love making music; it all works out! if they couldn’t do this, they’d probably be working the door or they’d be working the venue/merch table in whatever capacity.
Performance: What are they thinking and feeling while they’re performing? How do they act on stage?
all half hog songs are written about something true, so lane is almost always thinking and feeling what the song is. joy, sadness, whatever. they’re genuine and emotive and they like to dance with their friends on stage. it feels a little personal all the time for them.

[ 💛 ] how empathetic is your muse? how compassionate are they? is this something people expect from them, or are people surprised when they find out how compassionate or empathetic they actually are?
nea is actually kind of apathetic 🙏 if you're not his friend, he honestly doesn't care what you're going through as long as it doesn't affect him JDKFBJ he'll half-listen to you vent regardless, but won't offer anything other than a "that's rough, buddy" in response. if they don't like you though, they'll straight up say that they don't care about your problems to your face. they seem like a nice person, so it can be more than a little shocking to hear! but he's simply not the kind of person that appreciates that level of trust when he doesn't reciprocate it himself. they do have a lot of compassion though, there's a few causes that they consistently try to donate to and they always give whatever change they have to spare to people who need it on their way to the office. thinking about the state of the world and how there's nothing they can really do to make it better makes them spiral, so they try not to watch/read the news when they can avoid it.
[ 🧸 ] does your muse keep anything sentimental? if so, what do they keep and why?
nea keeps an old winnie the pooh bear that their late grandpa got them when they were five! it had to be restuffed and fixed a few times because of how tightly they used to hug it!! very very well loved. they keep it on a shelf in their room nowadays, but they'll on god be buried with that bear. all of their tattoos have sentimental value as well!
[ 🤝 ] how does your muse approach intimacy? are they hesitant, or do they like it? what types of intimacy do they like and dislike? (ex. physical intimacy, sexual intimacy, emotional intimacy, etc.)
they've always been hesitant when it comes to intimacy in general, but even more so after s/ocietyboy—they keep their heart safely guarded and they won't open the door to it until after they've been explicitly told by the other person that they feel the same way. they're very conscious about boundaries and comfort and consent. i'd say physical intimacy is their favorite, they love holding hands and kissing and any and all casual touches from the people they love. emotional intimacy makes them a little nervous, but it's just a matter of getting used to it. its one of those things where once you've had a taste of it you realize that you'd been starving all along. i think the same applies to sexual intimacy, they struggle with the way they look and they feel unsure because of it the first few times. but they are a lot better about it given a little time 😌
