The Kitchen Beyond Thyme and Spice: An Another Eden Fangame
this was my entry to AE's 9th anniversary art contest!! i worked on it over the course of a few months with some friends, and it doubled as my uni senior capstone project for this quarter :] many roadbumps and learning experiences were had along the way but overall im proud of myself and my team for what we managed to finish in time for the contest!
The Kitchen Beyond Thyme and Spice is a simple-ish restaurant sim combined with rhythm game that features cozy/chill arrangements of certain songs from the AE OST as well as illustrations of various food items found at inns/rest spots throughout the game. Recipes are made through easy-to-pick-up rhythm mechanics, and you gain the ingredients to make them through setting a desired amount of each one to collect, and waiting for them to arrive. Plan accordingly and you’ll have enough for the next recipe, but if you call for too much, you may be left hanging.

this is also the first public build of the game to exist so far!! i plan to add more songs/recipes as well as new features (playable characters! kitchen equipment! a shop system! etc) that unfortunately had to be cut out of this build due to scope/time constraints. whether this game wins the contest or not, if you enjoyed the game i hope you will look forward to future updates :]

Doing my part for my younger sibling if you're out there (which ik you are) so now u cant say I havent yapped about it dhdhhfhdhd
Younger sibling recently forced me into playing a game they rly enjoy and lowkey ive been enjoying it a bit as well but not for the reasons they expected.
Like yeah I like a lot of the characters I mean. Who wouldn't like a guy thats just a frog and several different variations of robots, androids, furries, and so on???
But nah. My main focuses in the game have been two distinct tasks:
Collect as MANY FUCKING CATS AS I CAN because you can find little cats to collect and have follow you around
Make a team solely consisting of characters that remind me of Hatsune Miku in some capacity
The first one isnt too difficult, just time-gated bc they show up on the map differently from day to day
But the second one? Also... not as hard, but also super subjective shdhfjfjfnnfjf. I do have two though who, hands-down, are. Definitely going on the miku team.
One of them is an android healer who is. Specifically modeled after idols. And the other is. Straight up an idol. The twin tails (and/or outfit in one case and hair color in the other) are. Just further my idea that they are ideal for the miku team.
