We ALL know (from the Fandom ofc) that MAEKAR was down bad for Dyanna, his wife. Can you even imagine how devoted he'd be as a yandere?

ANON! OMG! I love this. And I totally know what you're talking about so here are my thoughts:

I don't think he would have been a Yandere for Dyanna BECAUSE he was so young and there was like no threat to his relationship. It was this marriage of love and trust and it was always going to happen. I don't think he ever had this possession simply because he knew Dyanna was always going to be his, like there was no question between them. It was love and devotion itself, right?

BUT: I feel like if he ever got remarried to someone younger than him, he would TOTALLY be a Yandere. So walk with me down my lane of twisted and dark thoughts.

Let's say, Maeker meets you—the going to be younger wife—and just has that intense rush of like, I want you; I need you; I will have you. But you have a ton of other suitors because you're young and the young women are always more desirable and you're like the only daughter of a powerful house (think like Stark, Martell, Tyrell, Baratheon, something like that).

Maeker does NOT like this, right, so I picture him going very Baelor is this fic, I wrote, like threatening your lord father except probably more violently than Baelor because he's Maeker. So, he threatens his way into being your husband and he's just so DEVOTED. Like he'll move you into his chambers, so you're not too far away, so you're safe. Just very caring, right?

She’d giggle before leaving to do her work, but not before magically drying you off.

Now if you were to try and do it in public. She wouldn’t entertain it. She despise PDA. She’d deadass freeze you In place if you tried.

The second you get home, she’s scolding you and punishing you. Her favorite is making your pillows hot. After about an hour or two, she’d forgive you with a kiss.

Now SHE gets embarrassed. Will actually freeze up and become a stuttering mess.

For all her confidence and charisma, she absolutely cannot handle you being bold. She’ll try to do something to embarrass you back, but she’ll fail.

Eventually she’ll settle with throwing an ice ball at you. A soft one that becomes ice cold water and make you shiver infront of her.

If you do it in PUBLIC. That’s when she’s utterly fucked. She becomes a new species, Tomato-Skinned, and gets so embarrassed she’ll cause an early winter.

And god forbid the media finds out. It’ll actually destroy her. She’ll just cruel up into a ball of red embarrassment and flusteredness.

okay soooo you asked, so you shall receive.

for the first pregnancy, it wasn’t planned at all. you and luke have always been very ‘go with the flow,’ and your mindset was basically, ‘if it’s the right time, it’ll happen.’ and luke was the exact same. so lucy was more of a very lucky accident, a very loved surprise. for the second baby, though, luke definitely wanted to plan things out a bit more. not because he suddenly became controlling or anything but because he didn’t want to miss anything. he didn’t want you going through postpartum alone, or dealing with baby blues without him next to you. he remembered everything he learned and researched during your first pregnancy, almost like it burned itself into his brain.

and honestly, he was a little scared too scared that you might go into labor while he was on a road trip, scared he wouldn’t be there to hold your hand through contractions, scared he’d walk off the ice one night and get the ‘she’s pushing’ text. so planning felt safer for him, like he could protect you better. as for dreams… luke himself didn’t dream about it. but your families and the in laws? they literally manifested that baby. your mum’s dream was she saw you holding a baby boy bundled up in winter clothes while watching luke skate on an outdoor rink, the snow falling so softly around you. ellen’s dream, she dreamed she was reading a storybook to a baby boy who looked exactly like you but with luke’s eyes and those signature hughes curls. and then quinn, the big bro had a dream of luke teaching a little girl in a pink puffy jacket how to skate while all her uncles cheered her on.

the funny thing? all these dreams happened when you weren’t even pregnant yet. then, like three months later, you found out. and here’s the wildest part, everyone was convinced it was a boy. even the ultrasound said boy. luke was already picturing little son dressing alike, playing mini sticks, the whole thing. but then due date comes… and surprise you give birth to the prettiest little girl, named her lucy hughes, with her daddy’s curls and eyes, and your face. and you can literally see the moment luke falls in love with her, the instant she’s placed in his arms, he’s done for. absolutely gone.

and that’s how dad!luke found out and how everything unfolded 🫶
