We met in 2009. After being a fan for three years and you saving my life, I made a scrapbook for you and gave it to your dad. It was a compilation of our Swift Secrets... all the things your fans wanted to tell you but didn’t know how.
You let me cry on you and thanked me for making an effort in putting something like that together for you. I never understood your thankfulness for me because I was always 10x more thankful for you. As I told you that day, I was living my worst life and you pulled me out of it. You hugged me so tight and told me you were so happy we got to meet. I still cry reliving this day, ten years later.
And now here we are. I’m still here. I’m still me. I’m just happier. It was YOU that showed me all my sadness was temporary. It was YOU that helped me move past my darkness. I grew up, so did you but I never got to update you on where I am now. I’m a wife, and more importantly a mama to two toddlers who love you like family. When you said to point to the pictures and tell them your name, I did and I do.
These babies are here because you cared about me when few did. I hope one day I can show you what you helped create. Rules or no rules, I’ll be here for another 13 years... and then 13 more and then 13 more after that. Thank you for letting me cry on you, for letting me celebrate you, for helping me meet my best friend in the world, for giving a shit about some 21 year old kid who was older than you and yet looked up to everything you stood for. You’ve changed my life and maybe one day I can catch you up on all the new things you’ve missed in ten years. I’ll stay @taylorswift 💗
