YES another pairing from the ✨golden trio✨ / JJJ, all day every day

i’ve swear been thinking about these asks since i got them 1000 yrs ago (pls forgive me)

first of all i LOVE jinmin, our bad drama acting duo, they’re so sweet and post the most dazzling selfies/videos together, and jin’s #1 assistant/photographer when he used to post his cooking diary was jimin which is :,( also jin entrusted jimin with shooting his early eat jin vlogs which is :,,,(((( i’m pretty sure jin takes jimin out with him everywhere like a little pocket cutie, and we all know they’re drinking buddies and also test out new restaurants together (jin also tests all his jokes on jimin this is proven) TL;DR they hang out all the time

@ analysis anon: this is probably going to be less evidence-based analysis and more just my thoughts, especially bc I think jinmin is one of the most stable ships in bts and haven’t changed too much?

let me begin: 

despite his fake complaints, jimin is always (if not laughing) giving jin’s jokes the Respect they deserve. and while it’s kind of jm’s thing to be the twerp who teases hyung-ln ruthlessly, all while being super obedient/helpful, he also finds jin lovable and cute and actually just listens to what he has to say, jokes or not. jin knows this and trusts that jimin will be there for him – ergo why he takes jimin with him to explore new ideas/places

imo jimin’s someone who isn’t too sure about his likes + dislikes hobby-wise, and i think that’s why he enjoys hanging out with people who have really strong… drives/passions/and just understand who they are? (i.e. jin 100%) jimin’s tendency to be overly self-conscious pales next to jin’s confident energy. jimin can forget about his insecurities when they’re together, and pretty much lets jin take the lead most of the time, which is a rarity. basically jimin’s witchcraft doesn’t work on jin, so his desire to be kind of dominant sometimes, or to just flirt with dynamics, is blown out the window.

they’re very comfortable with touching e/o and it’s a mutual comfort!!! they don’t hesitate, it’s just domestic x9000. (jin chucking jimin under the chin, RIP me) and i actually find both jin and jimin kind of hesitant/careful usually when it comes to PDA, but i don’t sense that at all when they’re with e/o

continuing with comfort: they’re both so emotionally expressive and really honest that way, so they never have to worry about guesswork when they communicate

bc jinmin have been mostly-not-center-vocal-ln and don’t necessarily participate in too much songwriting/producing/music direction etc., there’s less of a professional wall between them than say, either of them and hyung-ln. positions are NOT all that matter in a relationship, but i think both of them have wanted to contribute more musically to the group, but being less production-driven, have struggled with exactly how. they’ve probably felt a kinship through that

i adore ‘awake’ for many reasons – the instrumental is beautiful, jin’s voice is beautiful, the lyrics are 100x more meaningful in relation to what we know of his personal experience, the song fits like a dream on the album and still stands out despite being a really classic ballad (and my opinions are total truth)

but i also love awake’s lyrics for overturning the romantic interpretation of RUN. both songs talk about cuts and bruises, dreams and flowers, crying and lying, the desire to keep on running – but the only difference is jin doesn’t sing about “love” at all. awake is solely about looking up (not forward, not at another person) but at the sky. it’s about fearing that height and fearing your own inferiority. “love” is a universal term that can mean many things so i don’t mean to devalue it – in my reading of RUN though, "love” is more of a decent placeholder for various themes relevant to hyyh (it’s arguably the same way “girl” works in INU, depending on how you see it. could "girl” be replaced with “dream” and have the same effect? imo yes. or, if you’re realistic and all this sounds overzealous, INU could really just be another pop song about het love i guess). 

i’ve been thinking about how in ep.5 jungkook said he washed his laundry every day and jimin said he was with him and how the first thing we saw when the episode started was jimin folding clothes and i’m like did they fold laundry together the other days too, do they share clothes folding tips with e/o and is this a regular mating activity

also i found it a bit hilarious that everyone else thought jikook would somehow screw up their friendship trip or something bc TBH i can kind of see it? ! they’re both usually rather slow-paced and relaxed, but imo jimin was slightly more anxious and wanted to lead the way, and now i think jungkook maybe teased jm like he did at the bus stop because he sensed that anxiety and that was his way to subconsciously(?) bring jm back to pace? (maybe that’s one reason why he teases him in general actually!!)
