KLK starts off with a bang, a curious story of revenge and anger; full of mystery, excitement and action.

Imagine every anime trope you can think of, all the worn out tropes and clichés. Now, imagine them ramped up to the max. Sounds annoying, right? No. This show delightfully inverts them into something fresh and new, a cliché that doesn't seem boring. KLK makes fan service the plot, it sounds silly and you want to roll your eyes. That is, until the plot starts to unravel. Every cliché and bit of fan service directly plays into the story, and bit by bit you'll catch yourself saying "that's why they did that!"

Episode by episode you are on the edge of your seat thinking "is this the finale?" In the best way possible. A show with very little filler, and every time you think you have it figured out, that you were right about your expectations, they change the outcome. The way the show deals with the plot points, never focusing on one for too long, yet exaggerating some is handled with such care and execution. The characters are full of life, the animation reels you in, the soundtrack rivals some of the best out there.

Much like the explosive theatrics that is plastered all over the screen, the characters are outstanding in the way they inject themselves into the show and overarching plotline.
