Today is #EndangeredSpeciesDay, a day to spread awareness about the importance of protecting endangered species and biodiversity on earth, and to also think about the every day actions we can take to help. A recent report by the United Nations warned that as many as 1 million species are at risk of extinction if we don’t take action to save them now. Every little action we can take can make a difference collectively, so don’t give up hope. 🌱 Some simple actions you can take are: - Conserving water and reducing energy consumption - Reducing, reusing and recycling - Avoid buying single-use plastics - Planting native plants - Donating to organizations that help protect endangered species - Letting your government representatives know you value protecting endangered species and their habitats 🌱 Also, just a reminder that these guys and more will be in my endangered species update this Sunday, May 19 @ 7pm EST.
