what he feels for edwin, that isn't love. it's attraction, desire, the need for a cat & mouse chase. but love? no, surely not. he hasn't known edwin long enough to even know if the desire will ware thin soon, once the chase is no longer fun. he's not even so sure he's been in love in the last century, so this heart business isn't something he's overly good at giving advice for.

Gabrielle took a deep calming breath as she stood outside of the door for the Dead Boy Detective Agency.

She had originally debated on just appearing there in the office, but she didn’t want to spook (pun intended) these “detectives.” Wouldn’t make for a great first impression anyway. And who knows if they would be willing to help if they knew who/what she was. In her experience, humans (living and dead) didn’t really react well to meeting an archangel.

Fact of the matter was, there were souls that needed help, and she wasn’t able to do it herself. Yes, she was an Archangel of the Lord, but using her powers to that level would definitely set some alarm bells off upstairs. Gabrielle knew that the moment she snapped her fingers to try to help, she would be literally dragged back to Heaven or would have to kill some of her siblings to escape. No, she would need help if she wanted to help those people. And who better than these Dead Boy Detectives she’s heard so much about?

Reciting her cover story in her mind, she brought her hand up and knocked on the door.

“Hello?”

          “ well,  this  is  where  i  live—er—lived… ”

          thirty  plus  years  and  charles  hadn’t  stepped  foot  inside  of  his  old  family  home  once  since.  he  wouldn’t  even  be  doing  so  now,  but…  well,  perhaps  it  was  important.  usually,  he  stuck  to  mirrors  to  keep  an  eye  on  his  parents,  a  safe  distance;  not  nearly  as  personal  as  this…

          “ can’t,  uh,  say  i  miss  it  too  much. ”

it would seem - much to what spencer thought was relatively weird and unfortunate in some ways - that the accident that had killed his wife and left him in need of the wheelchair he currently sits in had also given him the unique ability to see ghosts. one of which, he currently eyes - trying to read the situation and how it will turn out.

"so the fbi sends ghosts to do interviews?" he jokes, playing it far too cool. he knows the fbi had been called in for the very murders that he had been getting away with. hotch had interviewed everyone in the apartment building earlier, spencer included.

it should be telling that he's done something a bit ridiculous, by the mischievous grin on his face. he looks satisfied with himself and almost wants to laugh. "i managed to trick the cat king into going to a dog park that was full of dogs. he's so mad at me. dogs can apparently tell he's a cat."

there had been a number of pranks pulled on thomas since the cat king had begun trying to get with edwin. of course, thomas often gave as good as he got, which included the time that a dozen cats had chased charles across port townsend.

- and his clothes are immediately being pulled back on, accompanied by a dramatic sigh. furs are pulled over his shoulders and yellow eyes look at the ghost with annoyance.

"i thought you were finally giving in, but its just another conversation about charles? is he the only person you talk about?"

thomas, of course, knew this wasn't going to be a hookup. he likes being a bit dramatic from time to time, and they both know his attention will be gone the second edwin ever stops rejecting him.
