Baran is forced to retire from her career after a bad seizure left her with permanent tremors. She’s now walking with a walking stick due to her unsteady gait from the tremors. She misses her career but she’s got Trinity and Kaveh.
Baran likes to stay up when Trinity comes home from work. Kaveh cooks dinner whilst Baran enjoys hearing about Trinity’s day as an emergency pedes attending.
Kaveh’s studying nursing at a local college as he didn’t want to be far away from Trinity and his Maman. He often helps her with things like dressing herself or making her food when her tremors get bad sometimes. Baran feels bad that Kaveh’s looking after her but the boy takes it in his stride. Trinity steps in when she isn’t working and takes her wife out of the house to give Kaveh a break.
When Trinity and Kaveh are both working, Yolanda often comes to spend the entire day with Baran at the house. She even takes her out for outings. The surgeon was there when Baran had her worst seizure on the floor of the Pitt ED and saved her life that day. Yolanda, in her own way, considers Baran and Trinity as her most important friends.
Baran isn’t alone after all. She has her little village of people who are there for her.

I add to @bookworm2011’s post abt AW trauma. What if he had a close friend (like a friend one would consider a sibling or smth) either die during a mission or, to and a layer of childhood trauma, when they were fresh out of high school (18-19). That was the only person who was that close to America (until the beginning of the AW series) and the only one America talked to about issues at home. Normie was the first person since then that he let get close. Normie has no idea that this is the first close relationship AW’s had, but he values their friendship regardless, bcs he’s not about to lose another friend nor party (I'll probably be back with more hc including Normie angst. I have a lot of bricks).
*grabby hands* Gimmie the angst headcannons :3/joke
Got gripped by this song and blessed with visions of an animatic I'll never make
Context: Imagining it being back during the First Divine War with Phraesto as a human and his lover having current Merlin's face. He fell in battle and fell to the Abyss, becoming a hypogean and eventually sealed.
Cuts to now, when Merlin unseals him, and he's seeing his lovers face looking down at him with utter hatred and disdain
Why does Merlin have her face? Idk, reincarnation or Dura at the time thought one of her priestesses was real neat and reused her appearance
Alright yall, I'd consider that a pretty successful move. Sorry for the spam at the end there, I wanted to get those out the way because I wanted to start uploading new art lol.
Thanks to you all for your patience! Now I can go back to cooking.

Chapter 6 of Beyond God and Evil (Aizen Sōsuke/Female Reader)
Canon-divergence set months after TYBW. Reader is the new Soul King, so is Aizen if you squint hard enough.
Tags: Romantic comedy, fluff and angst, friends-to-enemies, enemies-to-lovers, slow burn, banter as love language, mutual pining, immortality, political intrigue, body switch, animal transformation
THAT night, Aizen Sousuke dreamt.
The dream was so unnervingly vivid that, for a fleeting moment, he believed himself to be reliving a memory.
More than a century ago, beneath the dim glow of the crescent moon, Aizen happened upon a female Shinigami while patrolling the roads of Seireitei. Sand brown hair draped loosely over her shoulder, tied in a low ponytail so unassuming that no one would have guessed that she led one of the Five Great Noble Families.
“Good evening, Hirasaka-san.”
“Good evening... Lieutenant Aizen.”
Your greeting lacked its usual warmth. Even in reverie, Aizen noticed easily.
He had always excelled at reading people. The smallest shift in expression, the slightest wavering in tone, even malice hidden beneath polite smiles—nothing escaped him. And you, despite your efforts to appear detached, had never been particularly adept at concealing your emotions.
“I sense that something is bothering you,” he said gently. “Is this about Captain Urahara?”
You flinched at the mention of your former fiancé, now condemned as a traitor by Central 46 for conducting hollowfication experiments on his fellow captains and lieutenants.
“Sorry...” you muttered, lowering your gaze. “I heard what he did to Captain Hirako. You must be feeling worse.”
Aizen observed you quietly before exhaling with practiced sorrow. “It is regrettable. We had always thought that we could trust Captain—no. Urahara Kisuke.”
An uncomfortable dead air enveloped the two of you.
How strange. Aizen could not remember the silence feeling so... oppressive.
Had he forgotten something? Did the strange stillness replace an exchange that he could no longer remember? No, that couldn’t—
“Lieutenant… May I ask what you were doing last night?”
Aizen was momentarily surprised that he almost laughed.
No, he hadn't forgotten. Your blatant accusation of him reminded him of the amusement he felt a hundred years ago. You had always been earnest to a fault. So transparent, so naive.
So much so that you caused your own downfall.
“I see. You have heard the rumors as well.” He smiles meekly, appearing wounded for being wrongfully suspected. “I was burning the midnight oil in my quarters. Several squad members can attest to that.”
Aizen awaited your response with anticipation. If his memory served him right, you would apologize and chastise yourself for doubting him. When, in truth, you were correct in your deduction that he framed Urahara.
However, your apology never came. Instead, silence descended once more—but, this time, it consumed everything.
The evening breeze had vanished, the sound of life disappearing alongside it. The distant chatter from the barracks faded into a suffocating silence that Aizen could suddenly hear the dull pounding of his own heartbeat.
His instincts sharpened instantly. Something was wrong.
He looked at you and found your face now obscured by a shadow.
“Why do you… lie?”
Your voice sounded distorted. Like a Hollow.
Oh.
Aizen finally understood. This was no dream.
It was a nightmare.
He opened his mouth to respond, intending to regain control, but no sound emerged. He instinctively gazed down and reached for his throat, when you suddenly appeared before him and wrapped your fingers around his neck.
“Why do you always lie? Is it amusing… making a fool out of me?”
The next instant, Aizen was slammed violently against the ground.
“You framed Kisuke. Turned Lisa and Hiyori into Hollows.”
Your soft brown hair spilled across his visage as he stared up at you. Given your close proximity, Aizen could finally see you clearly.
“You feigned affection to infiltrate my family... And, once I fell for your trap, you intended to sacrifice me. Just like everyone else.”
At that moment, your expression was unsettingly... empty.
No grief, no fury.
No pain, no disappointment.
Nothing. You were like... a doll mimicking emotions it could not truly feel.
With your fingers slowly but surely tightening around his airway, panix exploded through his body.
Dream or not, it had been a long time since Aizen last experienced primitive and unbridled fear. His lungs burned. Darkness slowly invaded his vision.
Instinctively, he clawed at your wrists.
“Han—”
“I despise you.”
His blood turned cold. Not from the fear of death, but the simple realization that he could actually hear you saying those words.
“A monster like you should have died a long time ago.”
I think I've been just ignoring and opportunities for doc.
That man has clearly seen some things beyond our comprehension. He's probably lost people under his care judging by how he was so focused on getting marsoc back. Hell judging by some lines he probably has depression and a drinking problem. And I don't mean how everyone else drinks, it's either coffee or like whiskey with doc constantly. even though hes telling that everyone else to take care of themselves I don't think he takes care of himself-
I don't know just saying we need more doc angst :D
