Since it breaks my heart everytime I rewatch the finale.
When the battle concurred and everyone was safe, you looked around. With the adrenaline spike subsiding, you felt a pit in your gut start to form.
Looking around, you could see everyone. Everyone besides Lucifer...
Dread overtook you. You started recounting everything that led up to the fight. You came here, invited by Vox,accompanying the Princess and her girlfriend. The one thing Vox had promised was that the King would be here, yet you were unable to spot him all night.
You unfurled your wings, readying to take off, hoping you'd be able to scan the perimeter better from up high. Ignoring the pain pulsing trough your back, you squared your knees.
Just then, a person appeared from the hole the weapon had left behind. Lucifer.
He was panting and groaning, holding his side. He got up on wobbly knees. Sparks emitting from his body. You stilled, wings drooping behind you, frozen in shock.
The faint voice of Charlie rang in your ears.
"... Dad?"
You watched as he tried to keep balance, turning to everyone, wheezing as he spoke.
"Don't go down there! ... It's a place of pain."
The moment you saw him falling, your system kicked into overdrive. One flap of your wings send you forwards to catch him.
"Your Majesty!"
You caught him, falling down with the force of weight suddenly crashing on you, cushioning his fall with you body.
He groaned as he felt the impact, mild as it was thanks to you.
He was tired and frail . The weapon had practically sucked his power dry with its attacks. When he opened his eyes, he saw you. You heard him force out a weak laugh.
"You know, I'm getting an awful taste of deja vu right now."
You suppressed a scoff, smiling down at him, worry evident in your eyes. You looked him over, heart dropping at the severity of his wounds. Nothing he couldn't handle, and certainty not the worst state he's been in, but you winced nonetheless.
He coughed and you reverted you attention back to him, cradling his head in one hand.
"Hey, hey, take it easy, okay? How bad does it hurt?"
He wheezed again, holding onto his stomach and groaning.
"Hurt? Nah, I'm just peachy, thank you."
At that you quirked an eyebrow, smirking knowingly.
"Not worst than falling, eh?"
At that you both laughed as he sat up, moving next to you and leaning on your side. You took his top hat, putting it in your lap.
"No... No, I suppose not. Still feels pretty shitty thought."
You chuckled, looking down as your hand played with Oroborus, the snake nudging your finger and swiping its forked tongue on it. You missed that.
There was a moment of silence. Serene and quiet, even though there were so many people around the two of you.
Then he spoke up.
"Thanks for catching me back there I-"
Lucifer hesitated. There were so many things on his mind right now. So much he wanted to say.
"I'm sorry I never reached out."
He spoke your name with so much tenderness. You could feel the regret coursing trough his veins, bubbling up his throat and spilling from his lips.
"You could've turned down my request but... I'm glad you came to help Charlie... I missed you."
You looked up from the snake currently coiling around your hand, meeting his eyes, already on you. Those three simple words somehow easing 3 centuries worth of sorrow from you body. A gentle smile formed on your face, and you craned your neck to lean your head on his, watching as the others hurried around you, with Charlie showing everyone her redeemed friend on the big screen.
This is kinda based around an OC of mine. She fell along with Lucifer and Lilith and became the King's right hand man.
When they arrived in Hell, her wings broke severely because she protected them both. One remained disfigured ever since, unable to fully heal since Heaven took away an immense amount of her power as punishment. She can still use them to fly, but it's extremely painful.
She harbours feelings for him but suppresses them cause she doesn't wanna intervene with his marriage.
She moved to Lust 50 years before Charlie was born, because Lucifer started pulling away from their close friendship.
She came back because he asked her to come help his daughter with the hotel.

Do you guys like Espio’s pj’s, i think theyre FIRE AHAHAHHA, get it, cuz i burnt his fucking house down
I had a WAAAAYYYY cooler image of this in my head, so im not super happy with it highkey, but im posting it anyway bc i think its important to know that even if its not what you had in ur head, ur art is important no matter how silly it feels :)
Anyway so while i was trying to think of a reason for espio to have left home, the idea of his whole clan/village/town/whatever it is having been destroyed popped into my head, and what better way to destroy a village than with fire !!
Im prolly not going w it tho bc it feels very… for lack of a better word, token… like “my ninja village burnt down and im going to be a master ninja to avenge them” ok bro
I got lots of suggestions on my other posts abt story things and i rlly appreciate it!! I saw a couple of them while drawing this and was like “shit thats way better” lol.
Once i have less projects ill try drawing some of them, but rn i have 2 million things i forced myself to make first.
Thinking of a scenario where it’s like… Hiccup who knows he’s smart and good at what he does, he knows he’s got skills that a lot of people don’t, and he knows other people in his position might be proud of that… but he just can’t seem to feel proud of himself because his inventions don’t feel like achievements anymore, they feel like something that’s expected of him. Because he’s Hiccup, the kid who trained a Night Fury and who makes crazy, smart inventions. Everyone on Berk expects him to make crazy, smart inventions; and since it’s just what’s expected of him it’s hard to feel proud about it. Idk, is this anything?

It came with a lot of denial.. surprisingly less with the whole circus isekai aspect and more so the fact that everyone there appeared to have a voice besides him.
For the first few weeks he was absolutely certain the rest of the cast had to be NPCs— assuming himself to be this silent protagonist (typical to rpgs) with how none of them seemed to be able to register his responses.
That ignorant bliss was cut short after taking a moment to sit and observe the very much unscripted exchanges between some of the cast members— The fact that they'd seemed to have been stuck there for years eventually caught up not too long after.
For days (maybe weeks) at a time he'd stay completely isolated in his room and try and gaslight himself to keep sane, snapping at almost anyone who disturbed his silence.
Within just 40 days of entering the circus, Gabba was already on the brink of Abstraction.
I couldn't possibly tell you how he managed to rock himself out of this helpless boat, (at least not on this post) Just know that he did and I'm proud <3
Big ol thanks to @silentogreriver for the ask that led to this post! It's definitely longer than my usuals but I'm delighted with how it turned out!
It's dark out. He looks up to see the moon and finds it obscured by clouds. It's been a long evening. Too long.
Finn only came to this party for Gwen, to make sure that she didn't end up doing something she regretted. Fat load of good that's done him.
The joint between his fingers is crumbled to reddish cinders, dripping onto the grass beneath him.
"What do you want, Ernesto?" Finn replies wearily, knowing exactly who the person touching his shoulder and fretting over him is. It's always him.
"Oh, phew. I was starting to think you were- uh- really out of it." Ernesto speaks with a cadence that suggests he doesn't really have control over what he says. He's nervous.
He should be.
"Is there a reason you're being a bother. Or do you just enjoy pissing me off."
Finn doesn't look behind him to see the inevitable hurt spreading across Ernesto's chubby face, but secretly revels in it.
"I just wanted to see if you were still here, is all." Ernie sounds timid, a pathetic squeaky imitation of someone he will never be. Finn abruptly wants very much to hit him.
"I am." Finn says bluntly, examining the still hot joint. "You smoke, Ernie?"
"Uh- no. Sorry." Meek. Wimpy.
Finn exhales slowly, tilting his head back to savour the feeling of moonlight on his skin. He snuffs the lit end of his joint out against his inner wrist. It sizzles a little.
"Shame. It'd probably help you be less...like yourself." The roof of Finn's mouth is dry, unpleasant and sickly in all the worst ways. "You'd be a fun person, maybe. Fuck, you need to lighten up."
"Yeah, Finn. I know." Ernie says, barely managing to keep the exhaustion out of his tone. "I know, man."
