Concept of a [ SOUL ]

Recently I've been replaying DELTARUNE and I remembered seeing all these fun concepts of what the SOUL might look like in the dark world if it was outside the Cage. This is my take on it.

I had a lot of fun experimenting with a more cartoony art style, it's really nothing like what I usually do and I'm constantly in awe of people who can make more simple lines feel so balanced. It took me forever to end up with something I enjoyed. I wanted to make a design that could be both funny and unsettling. The pixelated variations were made with Sora's Pixel Converter.

A re-design of my Yellow! Sera my beloved

Sera is wearing a mourning dress, and this design is deeply tied to Clover from Undertale Yellow. From the moment I first played the game, there was always this underlying feeling of dread surrounding Clover. Knowing that they are the last fallen human before Frisk made me think, “This child is going to die in the end.” Even before reaching that point in the story, there was already a sense of inevitability to their fate.

Because of that, Yellow Sera’s dress is designed to reflect my grief for Clover. The dress is predominantly black, like traditional mourning attire, with only small amounts of white and gold breaking through the darkness.

The golden four-petaled flower/four-pointed star on her chest is also one of the main focal points of the design, as it is some sort of representation of Clover and Flowey, who play a big role in the game.

Recently, I saw a YouTuber playing Undertale Yellow for the first time. so that was also a great motivation to revisit this design
