It’s wild just how much shit was happening with the Palm Springs gang during the Bloodlines series. I mean:
- Jill’s sort-of boyfriend Lee turned out to be a serial killer who wanted to become Strigoi again and he got himself killed and almost got Sydney and Adrian killed by Strigoi as well.
- All of Angeline’s antics — punching the guy during the assembly, sneaking into the Halloween Dance, and just about everything else she does.
- Sonya being abducted by the Warriors of Light and almost decapitated by one of their champions. (Seriously, it’s a wonder she’s as calm as she is at the end of The Golden Lily and in The Indigo Spell!)
- The whole love mess between Jill, Eddie, Angeline, Trey and later Neil.
- Sydney tracking down Marcus Finch and becoming a rebel Alchemist and doing rebel Alchemist things (which pretty much everyone in her Palm Springs family is aware of) while pretending to her superiors that she is still an obedient loyal Alchemist.
One has to wonder what Dimitri (and Sonya) thought when they arrived in Palm Springs and saw how chaotic the gang is.
