What’s your favorite Ricky and Cassidy scene from SDMI? And do you have any favorites of each of them individually?
Actually, I love all Ricky and Cassidy scenes in their own way, cause I like how their communication (not only because they’re one of my favourite ship in SDMI). And watch all their scenes I unconsciously remember the moment with Cassidy's diary and her record about Romansilvania. It’s was the first mention about Rickidy as a ship. For a while it made me feel touched and laugh in a kind way, but now for some reason, at every time they interacted, when they were alone, for some reason it was in my head.
But, despite this, I have a few favorite scenes:
1. A moment in old church in the season 1.
It’s actually the firs moment with direct interaction between original «Mystery Ink» before they have to leave Crystal Cove. Just the moment when the guy almost got hurt, climbing on the organ, and his girlfriend looks at him like that, after which he apologizes to her. They are so cute and a little awkward as teenagers. They are quite a nice couple. I love their younger version designs and personalities. He was so awkward, and she was so sweet.
2. Post-Nibiru scene.
Just… Don't tell me that none of you experienced confusion after watching this moment, which was later replaced by joy. Your beloved ship died saving the children, but they were given a second chance and they are happily married in a changed reality.
I understand that few people like Ricky's new design, but I like it. Not because he became somehow more «attractive», but because the creators showed who he would be if Evil Entity didn’t get control over him (it is worth noting that Ricky gave in to this influence at the age of 17-18, when the young original «Mystery Ink» was betrayed Professor Pericles and they had to leave Crystal Cove). I find it quite an interesting detail from the point of view of his character.
