    Mockery is thick in his voice -- eyes bright with sick amusement. He’s not positive what kind of scene she’d stumbled on -- what gruesome set up she found out there that’s led to this confrontation. But John’s not taken aback visibly. The calm mask fits easily, but he’s doing nothing to hide how venomous he is. Jess Black doesn’t need the facade.

that sure is a name. that sure is a really real name. hm … a really real name that helped trash esthar at that, not many people like him here .. do they? the board wants to force him to basically be on trash duty here getting rid of mobs because the military here is actually a little overworked at this point. the only reason why i’m hesitant is because i think they might run him ragged or until he drops dead.

… okay, so the people of esthar aren’t that bad but they’ll sure be really mad if it doesn’t happen. eventually i’ll have to force him to help us since he was the one that did this to begin with – … well … that’s what everyone might think but while esthar had to deal with sorceress adel, they should also know the enchanting aura that they can have on people. naturally anyone could be subject to the wiles of a sorceress without even realizing they’re being used or manipulated. of all the people in this world that should know better than to question the power of a woman made of mass amounts of magic, it’s the people of esthar.

he might not be treated like a friend or an ally, but he won’t be ridiculed for what happened to him at least. they’re just mad because he helped ultimecia… er, freed adel? … either way, they’re just not happy with the results of having to be escorted back and forth and there’s so many civilians and not enough military bodies … not that one body is going to do the job but they think he could at least help clean up the mess that he made.

… seifer … i hope that you learned your lesson in chasing very dangerous dreams like that .. being a knight isn’t going to win you any prizes if you can’t tell the good from the bad. not everything is so utterly black and white but sometimes you need to make sure that you take care of yourself if you think that you’ll be falling into a flytrap … you also have to understand that the people here are still worried about being enslaved by someone like that … the only reason we’re still here is because of squall …
