WHY do I work out? Because I DO love drinking wine and beer and eating ALL the food! For the longest time, eating and drinking were my coping mechanisms. Now, I eat and drink for the enjoyment of it, instead of for coping with massive amounts of stress. But, because I DO love the food and beverage intake, I need to make sure the adage "a moment on the lips, a lifetime on the hips" does not apply. Yes, I'm not where I want to be. Yes, I just started this journey - in earnest - a couple months ago. Yes, some days it's hard to make myself get up and go to the gym. Yes, I do it anyway. Even if it's for an abbreviated workout. Something is a WHOLE LOT better than nothing. And, in all honesty, abbreviated for me means about 1 1/2 hours vs 2-2 1/2 hours.
