– definitely teases you about your height (okay, you're a giant we get it)

– treats you like a baby even though he's only a year older than you

– definitely loves pda, absolutely does not care about what people think of you two in public

– because he loves physical touch, he's constantly held on to you, whether that's by holding your hand, wrapping his arms around your waist, or playing with your hair. as long as he's held onto you, he's contented

"that man sitting at table three ordered a carrot cake," you set down the tray. nicholas, who is standing behind the cash register, taps on the screen to forward the order.

you look around at the cafe you are currently working in. you are along with nicholas the only waiter right now.

"i wish some cute guys would come, you know." you sigh. nicholas frowns, wasn't he good enough?

"if only we would stop serving these old people flavors." your colleague says. she was the one making the desserts.

you lean against the counter, talking about how school was going.

"i remember that school trip! it was crazy. they snuck alcohol with them and got hungover the next day." she tells you.

"nicholas, how about you? anything happen at your arts school?"

"not really, it's really not that special even though they call it arts school," he twirls a pen he found somewhere on the counter.

the ringing of the bell that is hanging above the door makes the three of you look up. a group of boys around your age enter the cafe, chatting about something. your eyes light up, had your wishes been heard?

nicholas notices the sudden change in your face. he frowns once again and immediately approaches their table.

"hey there, can i get you anything to drink?"

your smile falters slightly, a little upset that nicholas had went gone instead of you.

"i will take the drinks to them," you say as you impatiently wait for the barista to make their drinks.

"no, don't." he sternly says.

"why? you don't think i can pull someone?"

"no, it's because i-" he hesitates a little, "because i think i'm in love with you."
