oh no guys. . . HUGE what the fuck moment. . . oh my god. . .
zendaya is using a 3 thousand years old Iranian earrings, clearly sourced from the archeological black market, to promote nolan's "odyssey" right after having a private jet fly out to get one (1), singular, dress and only that. . .
i'll repeat: zendaya, an AMERICAN actress, promoting NOLAN'S odyssey, IS WEARING A 3 THOUSAND YEARS OLD IRANIAN EARRINGS to a red carpet
i don't even know how to properly convey how fucking insane and disappointing that is
like i knew to not expect much from the movie, given nolan's blatant disrespect and disregard towards Greece and it's history and traditions, and also the disrespect and disregard towards the tradition of the Odyssey and it's adaptations in itself, the architecture, the clothing, the battle armour, even the ships all either sourced from another culture or just downright being something he callously made up to satisfy his own weird needs
and now this??? specially given the whole political aspect and climate between Iran and United States??? you have THE star of the modern generation, arguably the biggest name in your crew for your younger audience, attending an hours long event with an illegally sourced, housed in ENGLAND even, millennia old artifact that has nothing to do with the story that you are telling and is also from the country hers country is constantly attacking and breaking ceasefire agreement, it's just tone death and crass, and just as bad as when margot robbie wore the Taj Mahal Necklace to promote "WUNTERING HEIGHTS".
had to comment on this wild fucking red carpet stunt, here's an archeologist that is more eloquent with the criticism

HI TUMBLR IâM SO SORRY FOR NEGLECTING U Iâm abroad w family rn. Unfortunately I got a bit of a life and can no longer dedicate all my time to yaoi. Do not worry in a month or so it shall all be back to how it should be. Here is a WIP I made todayđ„čđ·đ
note; this is so unserious iâm so sorry i just saw this tiktok and i couldnât stop thinking about it
â° sae;
sae was on his laptop when you walked in, back turned to you, fully focused on whatever he was doing. still, he let out a lazy âhm?â, already knowing you had something to ask.
âsae, are you busy?â
âwhat do you think?â he replied flatly, fingers never slowing on the keyboard.
âcan i get an, um, anââ you hesitated, glancing around the room he had meticulously decorated with his trophies and, of course, that framed picture of a random family you bought from the store. the one you refused to let him throw out.
âcan you get what?â he sighed, clearly regretting acknowledging you at all.
you were practically breathing down his neck at this point.
âum, an, ummmââ
he stopped typing. slowly, he turned to look at you, eyes narrowing in a mix of concern and exasperation.
âare you having a stroke?â
âno, but can iââ
âget out.â he cut you off immediately, already turning back to his screen.
â° rin;
you really couldnât have picked a worse time to bother your boyfriend. rin was watching a recording of his last match for the third time today, pen in hand, scribbling down notes on everything he thought needed improvement. heâd already told you not to distract him unless it was important, but you were bored, and frankly, watching him rewatch the same match over and over again was starting to get on your nerves.
ârin, whereâs theââ you started, then immediately got distracted by your phone.
he didnât respond. you knew he heard youâhis ears practically twitched like a catâs at any sudden noiseâbut he refused to acknowledge you.
âwhere could it beâŠ?â you mumbled dramatically, glancing around the room despite not actually searching for anything. when he continued to ignore you, you nudged him with your foot.
rin let out a sharp exhale, finally pausing the match. âwhat are you looking for?â
âthe, umââ you trailed off, and that was all he needed to confirm that you werenât looking for anything at all. you were still wrapped up in your blanket, pillows stacked comfortably beside you, phone in handâexactly how heâd last seen you when the match started.
he stared at you, unimpressed. then, in the flattest tone imaginable, he said, âitâs in the pile of attention youâre not getting.â
â° barou;
barou was on cleaning duty todayâjust like every other day. at some point, you had given up on trying to help. not because you didnât want to, but because he was insufferable about it. if you so much as held a mop the wrong way, heâd be right there, arms crossed, judging you like you committed a crime. so, you learned it was best to just stay out of his way.
he was vacuuming the living room when you walked in, motioning for him to turn it off. barou exhaled sharply, clearly annoyed, but still switched it off. âwhat now? are you done with the laundry?â
you hadnât even started. âno, but i need to get the, um..â you trailed off, pressing a hand to your temple as if the word was on the tip of your tongue.
barou stared at you, unimpressed. âthe what?â
you hummed like you were deep in thought, tilting your head and tapping your chin for extra effect. barouâs eyes narrowed.
âtake your time,â he deadpanned. âitâs not like iâm busy or anything.â
you pursed your lips, pretending to concentrate even harder. his jaw ticked.
without another word, he turned the vacuum back on, the loud hum drowning you out entirely.
â° isagi;
it was 6 a.m., and isagi was up, already getting ready to leave for training. today was one of those days where he had to get there at an early hour, barely having any sleep.
you, however, were still half asleep but decided it was the perfect time for a little prank.
âbefore you leave, make sure to get me the, umâŠâ you trailed off, deliberately leaving him hanging.
even though he was exhausted, isagi immediately perked up, giving you his full attention despite how sleepy he was. âhuh? the what?â he asked, blinking at you.
âum..â you repeated, dragging it out, still refusing to finish your sentence.
he waited patiently, his head tilting slightly as he tried to figure out what you meant. âyeah? what is it?â
you could tell he was still too sleepy to realize what was happening, his brows furrowing ever so slightly as he waited for you to continue.
ââŠhuh?â he said again, letting out a soft chuckle, still too sweet to get annoyed, even when you werenât giving him an answer. âwhat do you need?â
you stayed quiet, holding back a laugh as he looked at you with nothing but pure confusion.
after a few seconds, he let out a small sigh, rubbing his eyes. âwait, are you just messing with me?â he finally asked, his voice soft and amused.
you grinned. âmaybe.â
he laughed under his breath, shaking his head. âyouâre lucky iâm too tired to do anything about this,â he said, slinging his bag over his shoulder. âbut iâll get you back for this, just wait.â
âsure you will,â you teased, watching as he leaned down to press a quick kiss to your forehead before heading out the door.
âDonât worry âbout me⊠Though it looks so much warmer there. Get some more sun.â you pause. âThough I can't imagine you with a tan." You mumble over the phone, looking at a picture Satoru sent of him on a mission in a little coastal town somewhere. Though he'd only been gone for a week, with only a little time to talk, you could tell it was taking a toll on him not being close to you.
âHm⊠It's not fair, being separated from you is literally torture." âYou come home in a few days. It's not gunna kill you, you big baby. Do your job properly, I wanna see you back in one piece." He sighs dramatically, you hear the quiet rustling of what you assume is him turning over in his hotel bed. âIâm the strongest thank you very much, how dare you doubt meâŠâ There's a long stretch of silence before he speaks again. "... Do you think if we got married they'd stop sending me out so much?" You choke on air briefly, heat rushes to your cheeks." Toru!? You can't just say things like that!â â âm serious.â You can hear the pout in his voice.
You clear your throat. âIf this is your way of proposing, you're doing an awful job at it. Especially if you're weaponizing our hypothetical marriage to get out of work.â He chuckles softly. " Getting out of work is only part of it⊠Besides I misssss youuuuâ He sighs dreamily. " Think about it. I'd get to call you my wife all the time, I wouldn't have to go away for long periods... I think, and we'd be married. Could start a family and everything ya knowâŠâ
You blink, your hand holding the phone up to your ear clenches slightly. âI'll tell you what, you come home safe and I'll⊠consider it.â You can hear him bolt upright. âREALLY!?" You can't help but laugh. âYes really. I love you, stupid. I was serious though you gotta come up with a better proposal though." Again, you can't see him but you can hear the devious smirk that spreads across his face. âYou're soooo gonna regret saying that, just you wait. âm gunna give you the best proposal you've ever seen.â You shake your head with a smile, your head thumping in your chest tenderly. " Looking forward to it."

It was less so that he was frozen in place, compelled by some unseen force or hostile jutsu to remain in his kneeling position on the ground, and more so that he was reaching exhaustion. A strange sensation to notice within a reanimated bodyâŠalthough, physical exhaustion was not the only kind.Â
Madara, surging with power from the Rinne Rebirth, had broken through the wooden gates that held him. Hashirama felt the weight pressing down on him grow heavier.Â
For a moment, shame flashed through the long-dead Hokage. Perhaps he had let his guard down. Although, in his defense, Hashirama had no reason to believe that the Gracious Deity Gates would not work. It was a sage level art, after all; Madara was strong, but was he that strong? Â
As it turned out, Naruto and Sai had proved to be of little use in sealing Madara. Even Sasuke with Amaterasu was barely effective. The black flames ate away at Madaraâs armor, leaving him in little more than his pants and sandals, but failed to dispose of his body.Â
âIt is these two polar opposites operating together that give rise to all things in this universeâŠâ Madara spoke as if unbothered by the dark inferno around him. âHashirama, do you remember me telling you this long ago in front of the Uchiha Stone Tablet?âÂ
If Hashirama had a beating heart, perhaps it would have faltered. He remembered. Of course he remembered. Madara could have asked him if he remembered the exact shade of the sky on the day they met and he would have said yes.Â
Madara continued without waiting for an answer: âThat the inscription on the stone says, when two opposite sides cooperate, you have true happiness. But I also told you it could be interpreted differently.âÂ
Hashirama deflated. âThatâsâŠâÂ
âThe one who obtains both Uchiha and Senju powers can attain true happiness. Donât you think it could be read that way, as well, Hashirama?âÂ
Madara weaved a sign. Now Hashirama could not move and it was entirely Madaraâs doing.Â
Naruto and Sai were no match for the Ghost of the Uchiha reborn. Madara sent both of them flying, and was upon Hashirama all before he could blink. A gloved hand wrapped around his throat. Hashirama gasped.Â
âI will tell you a secret, Hashirama.â Madaraâs eyes were closed, yet Hashirama still felt as though Madara could see right through him. âI am not happy. ThoughâŠI would like to be.âÂ
Chakra pooled at Hashiramaâs neck. The one who obtains both Uchiha and Senju powers can attain true happiness.Â
âAnd I am willing to let you influence me one last time.â Madaraâs voice was barely above a whisper. âSo, shall I achieve this happiness by taking your power from you? Or shall we cooperate?âÂ
Hashirama was silent. It was only now, in allowing his eyes to travel down Madaraâs form, that he understood why he felt he was being watched: another face was staring back at him. It was blank on all accounts except for the markings around its eyes. TheyâŠthey were Hashiramaâs sage markings.Â
âWhat are you saying?â Hashirama rasped.Â
Madara moved his hand from Hashiramaâs throat. The chakra flowing towards him abated.Â
âI am saying,â Madara said slowly, âThat if there is room for me in your heart, I would have you.âÂ
Madaraâs hand traveled up from Hashiramaâs neck to cup his cheek.Â
âI would let you walk by my side. And I would walk by yours.âÂ
The uncanny mirror image of himself sat right above Madaraâs own heart.Â
Hashirama closed his eyes. No. There was no way he could do what Madara was asking of him. All he wantedâŠall Hashirama ever wanted was peace. For Madara to live in this peace with him. So, in a sense, all Hashirama had ever wantedâŠÂ
Was Madara. Â
A reanimated body could not cry. At least, it should not be able to. Yet tears pricked Hashiramaâs vision all the same. âWhy do you insist on walking this road? Why can we not walk some different road together?âÂ
Madara exhaled. Deeply. âFor the same reason you always put the village above everything else. For the same reason I put you above everything else.âÂ
Hashirama could break. He could shatter into a million pieces right there and be carried away by the wind. If anything merciful in the divine was his witness, he willed them to make it happen. Although, if it did, he supposed those pieces of him would just reform. He would be right back in this impossible situation, facing an impossible proposition. Curse this undying bodyâit felt hollow, unnatural. Like a shell that didnât fit quite right. Hashirama had never bothered himself much with his younger brotherâs endeavors, but the Edo Tensei was a jutsu heâd always found particularly vile. Experiencing it first hand, it was as though he could feel the rot in his bones.Â
Madara brushed a thumb across Hashiramaâs cheek. âHashiramaâŠyou must be tired.âÂ
The dead man sighed. A broken sound, almost a sob.Â
With his other hand, Madara reached for Hashiramaâs. He pulled it to his chest, resting it right next to the hollow face with senjutsu markings. Hashiramaâs face. Hashirama could feel Madaraâs heartbeat: strong, steady, unending.Â
âI could bring you back,â Madara said. âOnce my Rinnegan is returned, I can perform the Rinne Rebirth on you. And thenâŠwe could live a new life. A true one.â
This was not the first time Hashirama had been reanimated. Surely it would not be the last. He was tired. Tired of being called back into wars so far past his time. Tired of war continuing to persist even after heâd done everything, everything in his power to make sure no more children had to die. He looked around; so many of the bodies littered across the battlefield were young. Too young. It pained the heart decaying inside his chest.Â
He was tired of feeling this rot every time he was reawakened.Â
Madara was right. On more accounts than just this. Madara had also always put Hashirama first, whereas Hashirama had always put the village first. And where had it gotten them? Children were still dying in wars theyâd inherited from their elders. Violence still marred the land. ThereâŠÂ
There was no end.Â
Hashirama leaned into Madaraâs touch. For only a moment. Then, though Madara could not see him, he looked up at him with the Will of Fire in his eyes. âI do not wish to kill anyone.âÂ
âYou will not need to,â Madara promised. âYou are their god. If you were to tell them to stand down, perhaps they would listen.âÂ
It was not a horrible idea.Â
âOur first dream failed,â Madara continued. An echo of the reality Hashirama was coming to realize. The village, the Kage system, dividing up the tailed-beastsâŠit did not secure peace. Everything Hashirama had championed, that he and Madara initially strove for together, crumbled to pieces before it could last.Â
And here he was, a decomposing piece in a war he had no business in. Heavens above, his insides felt backwards.Â
Madara took a step back. The hand that had cradled Hashiramaâs face now hovered before him, palm up. An offering. âLetâs build a new dream. For everyone.âÂ
Hashirama blinked. His gaze traveled outwards, towards the battlefield. He could convince the shinobi to cease their fighting. He was sure of it. The largest factor of unpredictability was the tailed-beastsâŠ.But Hashirama had subdued them all once before. He could do it again.Â
