“we need to give people a universal basic income that covers the cost of living” ok but consider this...what if...being alive didn’t cost money...
what if...food water housing and medicine...did not require payment at all...
i say this for 2 reasons, 1. because just like minimum wage was supposed to cover the cost of living yet did not grow as the cost of living did, universal basic income as defined by a government will depend entirely on that government both realizing the ubi needs to keep pace with prices, and also believing that their citizens deserve to not starve, and 2. they literally don’t need to cost anything. they really, truly do not. it is possible for food, and water, and shelter, and even medical care to get to you, and work for you, without money changing hands
I just noticed that I would be hella useful in the apocalypse
And that is giving me one heck of a confidence boost.
I think as a form of resistance we need to collectively, specifically housed people, start taking naps in more public spaces
Going through your anarchy arc are you?
always.

can i somehow murder myself and then frame it on the entire united states government? like seriously?
I feel like there’s a really weird substitute for royalty in the US. Like you don’t have a default family to do nothing, be rich, and set trends, so you take whoever succeeded most at the American Dream, you take the family that got richest off of capitalism, and you make their descendants, born into this American money, your royalty. I mean look at Paris Hilton, “an American media personality, businesswoman, socialite, model, singer, actress, fashion designer and DJ” (Wikipedia). Who has that many jobs? Not normal people, that’s for sure. What even is a media personality? What is a socialite? Sounds a lot like the Prince of Wales kind of status, famous by birth, so you make the most of it. Like I’m not saying this is wrong, it’s just weird. Especially because you can have like so many of them and they rise and fall from fame so quickly because there is not reason for the public not to drop them when they are done consuming them, unlike the royalty that sort of by definition will always be at the top. It’s just so American, but also weirdly throws you back into the past to the personality cult of the King.
