Design and Body:
The car's appearance was developed at the Vignale studio in Turin under the direction of Richard Teague, AMC's chief designer. The body is characterized by a low profile and aggressive aerodynamic lines. Engineering:
Renowned Italian engineer Giotto Bizzarrini was responsible for the chassis, suspension, and transmission development. Engine:
The car was equipped with an American-made 6.4-liter (390 cu in) V8 producing approximately 340 hp. Production: The project was canceled due to high production costs and AMC's financial difficulties. Only six examples were produced.
