β’ Objectum sexuality is the romantic or other attraction to objects! (There's also objectum platonic which includes strong friendships with objects).
β’OS/OR (objectum sexuality/objectum romantic) is not caused by trauma and is not a kink. The objects are generally viewed as more animate, and there is a definate love between the person and their object.
β’OS/OR is correlated with autism and object-personification synaesthesia.
β’ Object-personification synaesthesia is a type of synaesthesia where the person sees objects as having personality characteristics which are stable over time! The person may experience this for all objects or only certain types.
β’ "Object partner" is commonly used as the term for the object the person is in a romantic or other relationship with.
β’ Objectum sexuality is frequently misrepresented in the media whenever it gets attention.
β’ POSIC is a related term which stands for perceiving object sentience, individuality, and consciousness.
β’ The difference betweeen the terms is that objectum specifically refers to attraction to objects, while POSIC refers to beliefs about the object. One can be both POSIC and objectum or be one without the other.
β’ There are also many sublables under the objectum umbrella including quiltum (attraction to quilts specifically), conceptum (concepts), technum (technology), and likely hundreds more!
