Thinking about tonal languages a lot in recent years and thinking that English isn't tonal. But just now, I completely misunderstood a sentence because I read content (the substance of media) with content (a state of satisfied happiness). 😅
It still gets me that Qifrey has brought Coco to the magic stationer's store multiple times, specifically to get her a pen, and he still hasn't gotten her a pen. lol
I feel like the plot is building up to her pen's unveiling, since it was previewed in the opening theme sequence and Tartah made a big declaration about designing one just for her.
But still, Qifrey keeps bringing her to the store, specifically to get a pen, and all he got her was a bag? LOL

So I've been checking out comics occasionally tbese days (by which I mean I read a random series of panels with little to no context). And Ive noticed two things.
One, they're really pushing the "we're just like a conventional family" vibes.
Two, the batboys say and do things that is typically reserved for romantic couples even more than before.
I really thought they'd tone down the double meanings now that they're putting more of their eggs in the happy-family basket. But er, no. No they did not. 😅

I haven't read X-men in a long time, so... Why did Scott just yell "Get off my lawn!"?🤣
